Mr. Tuan shared: I chose electric cars for taxi drives because they have many advantages and incentives, such as using free charging stations until 2027, helping to save costs significantly. Even when the incentives are gone, the electricity bill is still much cheaper than gasoline. After a period of use, I no longer intend to return to gasoline vehicles. This is the right decision for my family.

The Mordor Intelligence report shows that the global electric taxi market will grow at an annual rate of over 12% throughout the period from 2024 to 2029.

In Vietnam, the transformation trend is becoming increasingly clear as dozens of taxi companies have switched to VinFast electric cars. In particular, thousands of individual drivers are switching to gasoline vehicles, switching to electric vehicles

For example, Lado Taxi replaced 100% of gasoline cars with VF e34 and VF5 electric cars at Lam Dong branch last February. The process of converting from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles has been prepared for 2 years with the support of GSM and support from VinFast through the program "Voculent Vietnamese spirit - For a green future". The company plans to expand this model nationwide this year, aiming to reach 2,500 vehicles by 2026.

According to statistics, there are currently 13 enterprises that have completed the goal of 100% conversion to electric vehicles, including: Lado Taxi (Lam Dong), Bach Dai Dung Taxi (Ha Tinh), Dong Bac Green Taxi (Lang Son, Cao Bang), Northwest Green taxi (Son La), Dien Bien Green taxi (Dien Bien, Lai Chau), Huong Giang Green Beach Taxi (Bac Giang), Green Sea Taxi (Ninh Thuan), Viet Duc Taxi (Dak Lak), Nam Thang Taxi (Southwest region), An Taxi (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang), Yen Bai Taxi (Yen Bai), Sen Hong Taxi (Dong Thap) and Uong Ngai Lai.
