The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) of Hanoi City Police promptly rescued the mother and child trapped in a burning house on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi.
At around 10:12 on September 15, the Hanoi City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Command Information Center received a report of a fire at a house on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center mobilized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 4 and No. 15 under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to dispatch 4 fire trucks and 24 officers and soldiers quickly to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police also mobilized 2 more command vehicles, 1 truck carrying specialized vehicles and went directly to the scene to command fire fighting and rescue work.
When approaching the scene, the authorities determined that the fire developed strongly in the area in front of the first floor of the 4-storey house (area of about 40m2, tube-shaped, narrow frontage), with a lot of smoke and toxic gas spreading to the upper floors. In particular, through reconnaissance, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force discovered that there were still people trapped in the house.
The fire fighting commander quickly directed a reconnaissance team to break the door and roll the front of the house, carrying personal protective equipment and air intakes to move up to the upper floors to search and rescue the trapped people. Another team deployed a fire fighting formation on the first floor to prevent the fire from spreading above and to adjacent houses.
At 10:25 p.m., the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force controlled the fire and promptly approached and rescued the mother and child trapped on the 2nd floor of the house. The health of the 3 victims is now stable.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
