At the Forum on developing the creative startup ecosystem - Promoting startup linkages in the South held on the afternoon of July 15, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han said that the locality will take science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as driving forces to create breakthroughs for growth in the new period.
According to Mr. Le Van Han, besides building an innovative startup ecosystem towards regional linkage, Tay Ninh chooses unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and artificial intelligence (AI) as two strategic technology fields that need to be prioritized for development from now to 2030.
For the field of UAVs, the province is developing a Strategy for developing the unmanned aerial vehicle ecosystem for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2035. The goal is to make Tay Ninh a center for testing, training, testing, application and development of UAV supporting industries in the Southern region.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee believe that this orientation promotes the advantage of linking with Ho Chi Minh City - where many research and technology development units are concentrated - while Tay Ninh has land fund and favorable field conditions for testing, training and deploying UAV applications. The connection between the two localities is expected to form a new value chain, contributing to promoting economic growth of the entire region.
In parallel with the orientation of high-tech development, Tay Ninh continues to maintain positive economic growth momentum. In the first 6 months of 2026, the province's GRDP is estimated to increase by 10.12%, ranking 8th in the country and leading the Southern region. State budget revenue reached more than 32,600 billion VND, equivalent to 60.7% of the central government's assigned estimate, while the disbursement rate of public investment capital reached over 46%, belonging to the group of localities with high results.
Investment attraction work also recorded many positive signs with 70 newly licensed domestic investment projects, total registered capital of about 36,600 billion VND and 70 FDI projects with total newly registered and adjusted capital of more than 2.2 billion USD. To date, Tay Ninh has more than 3,100 domestic investment projects with a total capital of about 755,000 billion VND and 2,551 FDI projects, total registered capital of over 27.6 billion USD.
Regarding digital infrastructure, all communes and wards in the province have been covered by 5G; nearly 98% of households have fiber optic Internet connection. The rate of administrative procedure dossiers received online reached 98.5%, while the satisfaction level of people and businesses reached 99.24%, ranking high in the country.
According to the Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, these results create a foundation for the locality to strongly develop the innovation ecosystem in the coming period. The province sets a target to build a network of 300 members in the innovation ecosystem by 2030, solving about 100 innovation problems each year, supporting 100 businesses to improve productivity and incubate from 300-350 startup projects.
Mr. Le Van Han emphasized that the development of the innovative startup ecosystem requires the participation of the government, businesses, research institutes, universities, experts and investment funds. Tay Ninh will continue to improve the favorable environment for creative ideas to be tested, startups to connect resources, thereby contributing to the formation of a dynamic innovation ecosystem of the Southern region.
