Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Tay Ninh in the first half of the year, and at the same time requested the locality to continue to play the role of one of the growth engines of the whole country.
According to the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, localities with high scale and growth rates such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh... need to continue to maintain growth momentum at a higher level to maintain the leading role, contribute to the overall growth of the country, and at the same time support localities that still face many difficulties.
According to the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, to achieve the double-digit growth target in 2026, Tay Ninh needs to drastically remove bottlenecks in investment, accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, improve the efficiency of resource use and innovate the growth model towards science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also reminded localities to prioritize attracting high-tech projects with high added value instead of chasing after quantity or scale of investment capital. Along with that is the synchronous development of transport infrastructure, industrial parks, social housing and worker housing to improve competitiveness in attracting investment.
Regarding the agricultural sector, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister proposed to promote the application of science and technology to improve productivity and value of agricultural products; at the same time, develop trade, services, border gate economy and tourism to create more growth momentum for the locality.
Regarding the province's recommendations, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister agreed with the policy of soon deploying the road connecting the Long An - Tay Ninh administrative center, and at the same time requested ministries and sectors to coordinate in removing difficulties in material sources, investment and key transport infrastructure projects in the area.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also requested Tay Ninh to continue to improve the two-level local government model in the direction of decentralization and delegation of power associated with responsibility and resources, ensuring the apparatus operates effectively and efficiently.
