The order is still pending, not delivered nor refunded.
Ms. Nguyen Loan (in Cau Giay, Hanoi) is a regular customer of the Temu e-commerce site. She currently has 2 orders that are late for delivery, but there is no way to contact her. She texted the delivery button on the site and it said that the order would be delivered soon.
According to Ms. Loan, her order was worth nearly 1 million VND and was scheduled to be delivered on November 29, but she did not receive any notice from Temu about the late delivery.
“I tried to make a refund many times but failed. The purchase required prepayment, the goods could not be delivered, and now it is difficult to get a refund,” said Loan, adding that when she accessed the Vietnamese Temu page, she was startled when the page switched completely to English.
As a regular customer on e-commerce platforms such as TikTok shop, Shopee, Lazada, Mr. Nguyen Chien (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) said that he often orders household appliances, cosmetics, and clothes on TikTok shop and some international e-commerce sites.
The advantages of these products compared to domestic products are low price, fast delivery, and free shipping.

According to Mr. Chien, although the products on TikTok shop are already very cheap, since he downloaded the Temu e-commerce application to his phone and placed an order, he was even more surprised because the prices of products sold on Temu were even cheaper.
So, Mr. Chien ordered a sofa cover from Temu for more than 300,000 VND, a 50% discount from the original price. However, although he ordered nearly a month ago, Mr. Chien still has not received the product. Although he canceled the order, the amount of more than 300,000 VND is still "stuck" in Temu's wallet.
If you don't receive your item on time, they may refund your money.
On the management side, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that Temu has submitted an application for registration of e-commerce activities. To date, Temu has submitted a second revised and supplemented application and the authorities are still in the process of reviewing the application content according to the provisions of Decree No. 52, amending and supplementing Decree No. 85 on e-commerce.
Therefore, while completing the dossier, Temu has implemented a number of requests from the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade). Temu must temporarily stop providing e-commerce services in Vietnam, including not using Vietnamese language when providing services on the website Temu.com and the Temu mobile application.
Regarding the fact that many orders have not been delivered to buyers after a long time, according to Mr. Hoang Ninh - Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, one of the reasons may be due to the customs regulations not clearing goods for e-commerce platforms that have not registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, causing Temu's goods to not be allowed to enter Vietnam.
In response to concerns from many people who have been waiting to receive their orders on Temu for a long time, Mr. Ninh said that buyers can wait for Temu to complete the registration process, and if they do not receive the goods on time, they can get a refund.
