Speaking at the 2025 production launch ceremony on February 3, Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) said that 2025 is the third year, a pivotal year for Thaco to implement its multi-industry strategy and 5-year plan (2023 - 2027) to become "the leading multi-industry industrial group in the ASEAN region, developing sustainably in the context of regional and global integration".
In 2025, Thaco's member corporations include: Thaco Auto (automotive sector) sets a sales target of over 100,000 vehicles, revenue of VND 80,847 billion, and exports of over 4,000 vehicles; Thaco Agri (agricultural sector) strives for revenue of VND 8,300 billion, total disbursed investment cost of VND 8,340 billion, and recruitment of over 22,300 new employees; Thaco Industries (mechanical and supporting industry sector) targets revenue of over VND 14,400 billion, and export revenue of USD 225 million.
According to Mr. Tran Ba Duong, in 2025, Thaco Group will disburse 3,594 billion VND in investment capital in Chu Lai, Quang Nam; total payment to the provincial budget will be 22 trillion VND, an increase of 20% compared to 2024; recruit 1,668 new employees, bringing the total number of Thaco employees in Chu Lai to 15,520 people.
In addition, Thaco continues to invest and expand billion-dollar projects in Quang Nam such as: Tariff-free zone project, Tam Hoa port, investment promotion of Luong Cua Lo; 451ha specialized agricultural and forestry industrial park; Mechanical - Automobile Industrial Park expansion project; Port, Logistics and Tariff-free zone project; Dredging project to deepen Ky Ha channel to a depth of 9.3m; Chu Lai Urban Area Project - Phase 1...
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet pledged that Quang Nam will always accompany, support and create the most favorable conditions for Thaco Group to invest and develop production and business in the province.
Quang Nam leaders hope that Thaco Group will better perform its role of leading, connecting, and creating conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the value chain, building a sustainable business ecosystem right in Chu Lai; taking advantage of opportunities to invest and develop Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and Quang Nam to become an attractive investment destination for domestic and foreign partners.
At the launch ceremony at the beginning of the year, Thaco Group held the inauguration ceremony of the 50,000-ton wharf, Chu Lai international port; exported the first shipments of the year At Ty 2025; inaugurated the Thaco Industries auto parts factory and R&D Center; inaugurated the Thaco Bus factory production line and introduced the new product line-up of the Thaco Truck and Thaco Bus brands. These are all trillion-dong projects, driving projects, enhancing competitiveness and affirming Thaco's position in the international arena.
