Stores consume stably 2,000-3,000 liters of E10 gasoline/day
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dang Van Dung - General Director in charge of business of INDEL Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (INDEL CORP) - said that from April 1, 2026, the enterprise officially opened E10 gasoline sales at 3 stores in Hanoi, including: Ha Dong, Ngoc Hoi and Thanh Tri. Up to now, the average output of each store is about 2,000-3,000 liters/day/store. This shows that the deployment of E10 gasoline sales operates stably, and people welcome it positively.
The reality of implementation in Ha Dong, Ngoc Hoi and Thanh Tri (Hanoi) shows that the E10 gasoline distribution and operation system has operated smoothly. Consumer reactions to E10 gasoline are trending positively. Achieving stable consumption output right in the early stages shows that people are no longer hesitant about the new fuel" - Mr. Dung assessed.
At a gas station in Ha Dong ward (Hanoi), Mr. Nguyen Van Chien (35 years old, service driver) shared that he has been using E10 gasoline for his car for half a month now. Initially, Mr. Chien was also a little worried because of concerns about affecting the engine, but after finding out and being advised by staff, he decided to try it. "Actually driving, I don't see any difference, the engine is still smooth, not sluggish or abnormally fuel-consuming. If you don't say it in advance, it's also difficult to distinguish it from regular gasoline" - Mr. Hung commented.
Regularly traveling by motorbike to work, Ms. Vu Thanh Huyen (28 years old, office worker in Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi) said that choosing E10 gasoline is partly due to environmental factors. "I have read information that E10 gasoline helps reduce emissions, so I also want to contribute a small part to protecting the environment. Traveling every day, I see that the car is still normal, there is no problem. If the price is reasonable and the supply is stable, I am willing to continue to use it for a long time" - Ms. Huyen said.
Businesses prepare to meet the conditions for deployment
On the management agency side, Mr. Dao Duy Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) informed that there are three factors that allow the early deployment of E10 bio-gasoline. These are supply; legal conditions and infrastructure; the readiness of businesses in the distribution to consumers stage.
Regarding the third factor, gas stations directly under major wholesale traders such as Petrolimex, PVOIL and businesses with large market shares have basically been prepared. This program has been implemented and prepared since the end of 2024. According to the roadmap in Circular 50, businesses have about one and a half years to prepare infrastructure" - Mr. Duy Anh said.
Mr. Dao Duy Anh said that there are still some small-scale businesses and gas stations facing difficulties in preparing infrastructure, such as washing tanks, investing in equipment for distribution. At the working sessions, we recommended that units should accelerate the process of preparing infrastructure to serve the conversion to E10 bio-gasoline. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has submitted a Submission dated April 1, 2026, reporting to the Prime Minister on the conditions and possibilities for deploying E10 gasoline in April 2026.
According to Mr. Trinh Quang Khanh - General Secretary of the Vietnam Petroleum Association, at the Conference to summarize 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026 of the Association, all members highly agreed on the policy of implementing Circular 50 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, considering this as a key task in the coming period. Businesses all show a proactive spirit, ready to participate and seriously implement the roadmap for switching to bio-gasoline.
“Compilation of the Association, the blending capacity of members currently reaches about 950,000 m3/month. With this capacity, it is entirely possible to meet the demand for biofuel nationwide. In fact, businesses are actively investing in infrastructure, upgrading blending systems, expanding ethanol tanks, and fully preparing conditions for deployment” - Mr. Khanh said.
