On July 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Conference "Export Breakthrough: Vietnamese Brands take off globally" was co-organized by the Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) - Ministry of Industry and Trade and Amazon Global Selling Vietnam. This is an event following the opening program in Hanoi on July 23.
At the conference, Vietrade and the international trade platform Amazon announced the establishment of a 3-year partnership to jointly implement the program "Vietnamese Global Growth Brand" (V-Brands Go Global with Amazon). This important cooperation aims at the common goal of creating a successful launching pad for Vietnamese enterprises in the global e-commerce market.
extending from 2025 to 2027, the program sets two goals: providing a comprehensive training program and online export certification for 1,000 Vietnamese enterprises, while supporting 30 national brands to increase their international presence through e-commerce with Amazon.
The initiative will be implemented through two main phases. Phase 1 is online export promotion training, aiming to improve trade promotion skills in the digital environment for 1,000 Vietnamese enterprises, this phase provides in-depth training through 20 specialized online courses designed to enhance expertise in Online Export Promotion for enterprises.
Phase 2 is the conversion of manufacturers. Accordingly, a series of direct events will take place in Vietnam's key industrial provinces - including Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong - providing practical guidance for manufacturers ready to switch from traditional production models to brand building and development models to compete in the global market.
Today, more than 60% of the products sold on Amazon come from third-party sales partners, including thousands of Vietnamese businesses. Vietnamese enterprises have achieved impressive growth, the number of products sold by Vietnamese enterprises on Amazon has increased by more than 300% in the past 5 years. Each year, these businesses export and sell millions of products to customers from Amazon worldwide, showing solid progress in the international market.
Mr. Hoang Minh Chien - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency said that the "Vietnamese Brand for Global Growth" initiative is strategic and practical, the focus goal is to elevate Vietnamese brands in the international market, through one of the world's major e-commerce platforms.
In the coming time, the Trade Promotion Agency will continue to coordinate with domestic and international agencies and partners to continue expanding brand and product development programs on cross-border e-commerce platforms, to promote typical products, associated with Vietnam's national brand, said Mr. Chien.
The Trade Promotion Bureau will also develop modern trade promotion tools, integrating AI in promotion, market analysis, and optimizing access to international users.
In addition, the unit will also coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and trade promotion organizations to build an ecosystem for digital trade promotion, taking businesses as the center, the market as the target, science and technology as a driving force for development...
