On September 26, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project "Construction of a smart grid in Con Dao special area". This is a registered project to celebrate the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, applying modern technologies of the smart grid such as operation, automatic transformer implementation, combined with remote control... At the same time, integrating renewable energy and security modes...
Thereby optimizing and increasing operational efficiency to reduce power losses, protect the environment... bringing many practical benefits to businesses and people on the island, with quality equivalent to that of inner-city areas of Ho Chi Minh City. In the coming time, it will continue to integrate green energy sources, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, etc.
Previously, on September 4, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Power Project Management Board 3 successfully energized the Con Dao 110kV transformer station, serving the supply of electricity from the national grid to the Con Dao special area, contributing to ensuring safe, continuous and stable power supply, meeting the needs of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and improving people's lives.
