Identifying environmental protection (BVMT) as an important task in parallel with production and business activities, in recent years, Hon Gai Coal Selection Company - Vinacomin has synchronously implemented many solutions to control dust, protect the landscape and improve working conditions for workers, towards the goal of building a "Bright - Green - Clean" production environment.
To minimize dust spread during coal transportation, all transport vehicles of the Company are regularly cleaned and washed and covered with tarpaulins before traffic. Coal transportation routes are maintained with daily clearing, watering, and spraying dust by specialized vehicles and fixed spraying systems, contributing to minimizing impacts on the surrounding environment.
At coal storage warehouses, the Company implements tarpaulin covering to limit dust spread in dry weather conditions, and at the same time prevent the phenomenon of coal drifting and loss when there is heavy rain. In particular, a 14m high dust protection net system invested and installed around the coal warehouses in the port area has promoted positive effects in dust control, contributing to environmental protection of the production area and surrounding residents.
In parallel with technical solutions, the Company also focuses on landscape improvement, planting and caring for green trees in production areas; regularly dredging and clearing drainage ditches and settlement pits; maintaining production surface hygiene. Labor environment and surrounding environment monitoring is also carried out periodically, thereby promptly assessing environmental quality, proposing appropriate remedial and improvement measures.
In the first 5 months of 2026, the Company's environmental items are implemented according to the set plan, contributing to improving environmental management efficiency and creating a safe, clean and beautiful working environment for workers.
In the coming time, Hon Gai Coal Selection Company will continue to promote propaganda to raise awareness and responsibility of employees in environmental protection; launch movements to respond to environmental holidays; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of dust reduction and industrial hygiene solutions at production units. At the same time, proactively prepare sufficient water sources to serve road irrigation and surface washing, contributing to the effective implementation of production development goals associated with environmental protection.
