The congress was attended by Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV); Mr. Vuong Minh Thu - Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Company, and 148 delegates, representing more than 3,300 union members.
In the past term, under the direction of the superior Trade Union and the Company Party Committee, the Thong Nhat Coal Trade Union has promoted its role as a representative and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
The company's trade union has innovated activities to care for and support union members and workers; promoted propaganda and mobilization, contributing to raising awareness and trust of union members; widely implemented patriotic emulation movements associated with production practice.
The company's trade union has increased training and fostering cadres; built a strong organization, actively participated in Party building; effectively implemented inspection and supervision work; innovated leadership methods and implementation organization.
At the congress, the departmental trade unions discussed many key issues such as: applying digital transformation in production and business; restructuring labor, ensuring policies for workers; solutions to attract and retain miners; improving the quality of shift meals and welfare for workers.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Company's Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term continues to promote the tradition of "discipline and Unity" of miners, aiming to improve the welfare and quality of life of workers in the context of digital transformation, AI application and new requirements of production.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Vuong Minh Thu - Party Committee Secretary, Company Director - praised the results that the Trade Union has achieved and suggested that in the coming term, the Company's Trade Union focus on doing a good job of propaganda, raising awareness of occupational safety and hygiene; promoting the role of the trade union in monitoring, ensuring rights and improving the lives of workers.
Innovation in content and methods of operation; building a team of union officials to meet development requirements; strengthening the role of unions in participating in Party building, introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission; building the image of miners "Loyalty - Solidarity - Development".
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Chairman of TKV Trade Union - acknowledged the efforts of Thong Nhat Coal Company Trade Union and proposed linking trade union activities with political tasks, production and business according to the orientation of the company's Party Committee; continuing to perform well the task of representing and protecting workers; enhancing dialogue and promptly resolving workers' recommendations.
Improve the welfare of shift meals, facilities of the collective housing area; accompanying experts in emulation of labor production, occupational safety and hygiene; innovating technology, digital transformation; innovating methods of operation according to Resolution 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
The Congress commended the former members of the Executive Committee of the 13th tenure for their good performance; and elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Coal Company, term 1300, term 2025-2030, consisting of 15 comrades.
In an atmosphere of democracy, solidarity, innovation and responsibility, the congress demonstrated the determination of the staff and union members in enhancing the role of the trade union organization, contributing to the sustainable development of Thong Nhat Coal Company - TKV.
