On February 23, 2025, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) awarded 1 billion VND to the Fund for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in My Hao Town, Hung Yen Province.
Participating in the program to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in My Hao town in 2025, on the side of Vietcombank, there were Mr. Le Hoang Tung - Deputy General Director, Ms. Phung Nguyen Hai Yen - Deputy General Director, Ms. La Thi Hong Minh - Chief Accountant, representatives of a number of departments/offices/units of the Head Office and representatives of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank Hung Yen, Pho Hien. On the side of the leaders of My Hao town, there were Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy - Member of the Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee; Mr. Le Quang Hien - Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Committee.
Representative of My Hao town's leadership, Mr. Le Quang Hien - Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of My Hao town People's Committee said that poor and disadvantaged households in the area are gradually decreasing thanks to the State's support policies and the cooperation of businesses, especially Vietcombank. Every year, the bank always pays great attention to social security work in the town through activities to support the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses, support the education promotion fund, etc.
As the bank with the longest tradition, the main force and spearhead of the industry, throughout its more than 60-year development journey, Vietcombank has devoted many resources and enthusiasm to contributing to social security work. In 2024 alone, Vietcombank has committed VND 861 billion and implemented VND 571 billion for social security programs in many localities.
In October 2024, Vietcombank donated 100 billion VND to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide with the theme "Warm home for my compatriots" launched by the Prime Minister, the Government and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
According to the Prime Minister's call, Vietcombank and the social community and businesses must join hands, be unanimous, speed up and make further breakthroughs in joining hands to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses with the spirit of "Whoever has something to contribute, whoever has property to contribute, whoever has merits to contribute, whoever has a lot to contribute a lot, whoever has little to contribute a little" so that all people can live in prosperity, happiness, in national love, compatriotism and no one is left behind in the era of national growth. Actively participating in social security programs not only demonstrates Vietcombank's responsibility to the community but also the common aspiration of all officers and employees towards a green bank with sustainable development for the community.
