There are many reasons why new students quickly look for part-time jobs: They want to earn more income, gain experience, or simply seek more positivity by putting themselves in a busy state to try new things.
Get into the new rhythm of life
For over a month now, Phuong Nghi, from An Giang and currently a first-year student at Saigon University, has been getting used to working at a rooftop cafe in Phu Nhuan district after school.
Like most first-year students, Phuong Nghi was very confused in her new living environment. The biggest pressure for the female student from An Giang was balancing her studies and work. Fortunately, the university environment allows students time to study and develop themselves, so Phuong Nghi can flexibly work without affecting her studies.
"Working part-time helps me feel busier, more active, more useful, and more adaptable to the new environment," Phuong Nghi said while drinking a bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea.
Although her family still covers most of her tuition and living expenses, the most noticeable difference in Phuong Nghi is that she is more confident, active and alert compared to many of her classmates who are still stressed because of the new living environment.
“Although going to work is tiring and sometimes quite stressful when there are many customers, I really enjoy it. Every day I usually come early and enjoy a bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea to relieve stress before work starts. The tea is delicious and the rooftop space is very chill, making all the stress disappear,” Phuong Nghi said with a smile.
Like Phuong Nghi, Pham The Hien, a new student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, quickly found a part-time job to accumulate income and life experience, expanding his own limits. Currently, the male student is working as an employee at a flower shop in Go Vap district. The young man has faced many challenges due to the "difficult" requests of customers.
However, Hien is still very excited because the job is interesting and flower arranging has been his hobby since childhood. “I get to meet and talk to many customers, grasp ideas faster. Sometimes I feel quite stressed because I have to deal with difficult orders. At times like that, I often drink a bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea to reduce stress and help me handle orders in the most meticulous and careful way,” Hien said.
For students like Phuong Nghi or The Hien, the fruits of labor are not only to have more money to reduce the burden on the family, but more importantly, to train their alertness, dynamism and especially self-confidence, avoiding stress when living in a new environment.

Thicken your adult luggage
One of the motivations that motivates many new students to boldly step out of their "comfort zone" is the desire to explore their own abilities. At the age of 18, many new students are not afraid of difficulties and hardships to "upgrade" themselves to become more perfect.
Huynh Tuong Vy is a freshman majoring in international relations but is quite shy and introverted. Therefore, working part-time at a fast food restaurant in the center of District 1 has helped this girl from Ba Ria Vung Tau a lot.
“Thanks to frequent contact with many people, including foreigners, I am more confident and have improved significantly in communication and foreign languages. Those are also important factors in the field I am studying,” said Tuong Vy.
The interesting experiences that part-time jobs bring are always accompanied by a combo of stress and fatigue due to running shows while studying and working every day. However, for Tuong Vy, the fatigue is quickly dispelled thanks to her favorite drink, a bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea with EGCG that she enjoys every day.
“I always remind myself to stay positive, so every day I choose Zero Degree Green Tea to help reduce stress, dispel all tension and fatigue to best focus on studying. Because after all, studying is the most important thing,” Tuong Vy emphasized.
However, knowledge, skills, practical experiences, or even ways for each person to reduce stress at work and in life... are valuable lessons that lie outside of the classroom and books, becoming "capital" and enriching their luggage on their journey to adulthood.
Huynh Tuong Vy feels happy and grateful to have found an ideal part-time job that can support her studies. After the initial setbacks, The Hien has been able to concentrate better, become more refined and behave more skillfully. Meanwhile, Phuong Nghi knows how to manage time effectively, expand social connections, and add color to her life.
