    Gold price today, September 9, continues to be at a high level of over 37 million VND/tael. Bad news is everywhere, world gold prices are holding firm around the peak of 1 year, USD drops to a 2.5-year low.

    Opening this morning's trading session (September 9), DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold at 37.06 - 37.16 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 50 thousand VND for buying and an increase of 10 thousand VND for selling compared to the same time in yesterday's trading session.

    SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau is listed at 37.07 - 37.15 million VND/tael, down 10 thousand VND in both directions compared to the same time yesterday. Gold price of smooth round Quotation Dragon Gold Thang Long is trading at: 36.53 - 36.98 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 30 thousand VND in both directions compared to the previous trading session.

    At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), the price of SJC gold bars was listed at 37.00 - 37.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 40 thousand VND in both directions compared to the same time in yesterday's trading session.

    The world gold price is currently listed at 1346 - 1347 USD/ounce (buy - sell).

    9999 gold price for December delivery on the New York Comex is currently at 1351.20 USD/ounce.

    Gold prices have pushed to a one-year high as the US dollar has weakened sharply, and lower-than-expected economic data makes it unlikely for interest rates to increase in December. Tensions over North Korea continue to weigh on investors' sentiment as a safe haven for gold.

    The USD index has reached a 2.5-year low at one point. The greenback has been under pressure as Hurricane Harvey pushed the number of unemployment claims in the US to a two-year high last week, along with concerns about the impact of Hurricane Harvey on the world's largest economy.

    In addition, the less bright economic data has also made investors skeptical about the next interest rate hike from the US Federal Reserve (Fed).

    Meanwhile, the Euro has continuously increased strongly, breaking many years' peak after the announcement of European Central Bank President (ECB) Mario Draghi that the ECB may stop stimulus packages this fall.

    In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank on the morning of September 9 was VND22,432/USD, unchanged from the previous session. Vietcombank's USD exchange rate today is listed at 22,690 - 22,760 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged from the previous trading session.
