According to advice from the Car Cung Motor Maintenance Center (Dinh Cong ward, Hanoi), on some motorcycle models, there are small tubes located in the air filter area. Although the size is not large, these details still have certain functions and need to be kept as designed by the manufacturer.
Residential exhaust pipe of the air filter
One of the details to note is the drain drain in the air filter area. This part has the effect of storing and draining water, oil or sediment accumulated during use, helping users and technicians easily check the condition inside.
If the pipe is lost or damaged, the ability to control and drain water and sediment in this area may be affected. Therefore, when detecting that the pipe is loose, cracked or lost, users should check and replace it appropriately instead of leaving it in the same condition.
The air filter is responsible for retaining dust before air enters the engine. When the air filter system has problems, dust or water can affect the air intake process and engine internals.

Do not arbitrarily seal drainage pipes
Another detail that is often overlooked is the nozzle or exhaust pipe at the bottom of the air filter. This part is designed to support drainage of water and sediment, while limiting dust and water from reversing into the system under normal operating conditions.
According to the maintenance center, some people can remove or use other objects to seal this part. The above treatment is not appropriate if it changes the drainage function designed by the manufacturer.
In particular, when the car passes through a flooded area or is washed with high-pressure water, water may accumulate in the air filter area. If the drain is blocked, water is difficult to escape and may affect the air intake system.
Therefore, when washing a car or periodic maintenance, users should check the condition of the tubes at the air filter box, ensuring they are not lost, cracked, loosened or sealed incorrectly. These are small details but should not be changed arbitrarily when the function is not clearly defined.
