One of the inspection methods is to measure fuel pressure using specialized equipment. The standard pressure level is not the same on all cars but depends on the design of each fuel system and technical parameters specified by the manufacturer.
If the fuel pressure is lower than the required level, the technician needs to check the entire fuel supply system. In which, the gasoline pump is one of the parts to note. In addition to the pump, low pressure may also be related to the filter, fuel line, pressure regulator or power supply issues for the pump.
After a long period of operation, the performance of the gasoline pump may decrease due to the wear of internal parts. In addition, impurities in the fuel can limit the flow of the filter net or filter, causing the amount of fuel supplied to the engine to decrease. When checking to determine that the pump has been damaged or no longer meets technical requirements, replacement is necessary.
