    Exfoliating your lips removes dead skin cells from the surface of your lips, leaving them soft and supple.

    Here are the steps to properly exfoliate your lips, shared by Dr. Shweta Mishra, cosmetic surgeon at Sharva Clinic (India):

    Clean

    Start by rinsing your lips with warm water.

    Pat lips dry with a soft towel. Avoid rubbing as lips are very sensitive and easily irritated.

    Apply lip scrub

    Use an exfoliating product specifically designed for lips or use a homemade exfoliant like a sugar scrub or coffee scrub to apply to your lips.

    Lip massage

    Massage lips gently in small circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes.

    Wash clean

    After exfoliating, rinse your lips with warm water to remove all dead skin and exfoliant from your lips.

    Lip Moisturizer

    Pat lips dry with a clean towel and apply a lip balm to hydrate and nourish, ensuring lips stay soft.
