Benefits of honey and hibiscus
hibiscus contains high levels of vitamin C - an ingredient that helps improve dull skin, naturally brightening the skin. AHA ( alpha hydroxy acid) in flowers helps gently exfoliate, remove dirt and the layer of horn on the skin, making the skin more airy and smooth. In addition, antioxidants in hibiscus also help neutralize free radicals - the cause of wrinkles and pigmentation spots, thereby helping to slow down the aging process.
Meanwhile, honey acts as a natural moisturizer and retainer, helping to maintain skin moisture in all weather conditions. Combining water-rich aloe vera gel also helps soothe the skin, enhancing the hydration and moisturizing effects of honey.
How to make and use
Ingredients:
- 1 hibiscus flower or 2 tablespoons pure hibiscus powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 tablespoon aloe vera gel
How to do it:
- If you use fresh flowers, soak the flowers in water overnight and then puree them into a thick mixture.
- Mix well with honey and aloe vera to get a uniform mixture.
- Steam your face for 5 to 7 minutes to open pores, supporting better nutrient absorption.
- Apply the mask evenly to the skin, leave on for 20 minutes.
- Wash your face with cool water, do not use a cleanser immediately afterwards.
- This mask should be used 1 to 2 times a week for optimal effectiveness. You can combine other ingredients depending on your skin's needs, such as adding a few drops of vitamin E to prevent aging, or neem powder if your skin is prone to acne.
