Here are some side effects of eggs shared by dermatologist Dr. Priyanka Kuri at Aster Whitefield Hospital, Bangalore:

- Some people are allergic to egg protein which causes redness, itching or irritation when used.

- Egg masks can be irritating to people with sensitive skin, leading to dry skin or rashes.

- Raw eggs carry the risk of contamination with bacteria such as salmonella, making them dangerous to consume.

- People with oily or acne-prone skin may be prone to breakouts due to excessive use of egg yolks which clogs pores.

- For some people, the unpleasant smell of raw eggs makes it difficult to incorporate eggs into their skin care routine.
