Artists in class need to be encouraged
At Hong Van Drama Theater, People's Artist Hong Van opened a training course for young artists who are passionate about acting. It is known that this class has trained bright names for the Vietnamese entertainment industry such as: Dinh Manh Phuc, Xuan Nghi, Chu Thanh Van... According to People's Artist Hong Van, the contestants have to compete in two rounds to finally have about 40 students selected. The learning process lasts about 18 months.
Not only People's Artist Hong Van, Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi's Truong Hung Minh stage has also opened a training course for young artists over the years. Artist Minh Nhi said that in parallel with training, the stage also creates conditions for students to step onto the official theater stage and introduce to the audience. Many students have been more bold after some plays and this promises to contribute to giving the stage more young resources.
In the coming time, many artists said they also want to open classes to teach acting skills to students. Stage director Bao Chu of Ban Mai shared with Lao Dong Newspaper that he and his team have prepared to launch an acting skills training center in Ho Chi Minh City.
"After more than 1 and a half years of activities, receiving many questions from parents about opening a training class as well as a place for children to practice releasing energy, stimulating their passion for art, Ban Mai stage plans to open a training class with 2 levels.
Level 1 - basically for children playing with art, they will be able to learn all the opening subjects such as: Singing, drama, modeling, bodybuilding... each subject will be explored to stimulate their passion. With level 2 - specialized for children who are truly talented and passionate. The children will be dug up to participate in Ban Mai's plays, film personal music videos as well as perform artistic activities at the final stages...
In particular, we proposed with People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau that Ban Mai can open practical classes for art school students... Because through the experimental sessions with Hutech students, when I listened to your questions, I realized that the practical and direct collisions are still very limited, even art school students do not have much time or conditions to collide in reality..." - director Bao Chu said.
Not only in the acting aspect, in the music field, Nguyen Van Chung said that he once spent 1.5 billion VND to open a "Supporting with Children" class - teaching music online for free for children.
As a male musician, he has the intention of helping children learn music theory and vocal knowledge without the conditions to go to talent centers. He and the crew filmed a video instructing him to sing 300 songs for children composed by him, each episode is a song.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, musician Nguyen Van Chung said that he has completed the online teaching course. The male musician hopes to contribute more knowledge and materials so that teachers can teach students.
"I also hope that the videos will be a source of reference for music teachers at kindergartens and primary schools, or to make appropriate lesson plans for each student," said Mr. Chung.
As for modeling and performing in public, supermodel Xuan Lan said that she has opened Xuan Lan's Academy for the past few years.
With this academy, Xuan Lan said that every 2 weeks, she and specialized lecturers will directly teach young students. In addition to Xuan Lan being the head teacher, the supermodel also invited models Duong Dung, Nguyen Hop, Trinh Thu Huong and Hoang Gia Anh Vu to participate in teaching the children.
According to Xuan Lan, this activity will help children be more bold in front of the crowd as well as make parents feel proud of their children.
Starting with the inspiration of "finding a partner", now General Khanh Thi - Phan Hien has contributed to making dancecesport more popular, along with expanding the business model, from self-taught, finding students, and being self-managed, Khanh Thi now has a team specializing in professional and business positions of the KTA - King The Art center.
Artist Bach Tuyet also produced "Cai Luong Academy" because she is the director to search for and train young cai luong-loving artists. The program aims to find talents, then train and pass on vocational skills in the style of "nswering on your shoes" to best promote the abilities of each candidate. Artists Bach Tuyet, Thanh Hai, Chau Thanh, Thanh Hang will accompany the contestants throughout the program.
"Personally, I think that artists teaching in class is necessary and practical for young people with artistic talent. Because artists with practical experience know how to supplement young people with knowledge not only academic but also experience in performing, problems encountered in the profession. That is, I think we need to encourage artists to participate in teaching more" - musician Nguyen Van Chung said.
Artists focus on teaching skills
The fact that artists are teaching classes is considered a positive signal to help search for and train many future generations. However, many veteran artists believe that being a classroom artist requires many factors because not everyone who is good at the job can teach and impart knowledge to students.
In addition, it is also necessary to balance financial factors, tuition fees and create opportunities for young people to express themselves when they are passionate about art.
Currently, according to a survey by reporters, tuition fees at centers and classrooms in theaters and music classes are not too low, some places charge 3 million VND per month, however, artists in the classroom all affirm that this tuition fee is almost only for children's learning, from teacher invitation, study costs to facilities...
According to artists who open classes to teach, this is not necessarily a for-profit business job, but they open classes to train because they need to find human resources for art and encourage young artists.
People's Artist Viet Anh - lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts said: "For a student, young people studying artist classes, what is needed is to rub shoulders and collide with real work".
As for the person in charge of the class, People's Artist Viet An said: "I think artists in charge of the class also need to have an analysis theory of acting to be able to teach acting. And with other fields of art as well, they must understand what they need to do and how to do it to be good for students".
According to artist Bao Chu, an artist teaching in class brings many positive benefits in imparting knowledge to students but also has many challenges. Mr. Chu said: "I have had classrooms with Hutech students, Miss Grand Vietnam contestants, as well as children, the most difficult thing right now is still the blend of teaching experience, pedagogical - communication methods... Currently, there is also some information about inviting professional artists to teach, I find it very good. That opens a new path for artists who are good at their profession and have good pedagogical approaches and training for potential students".
As for classes for young students, especially gifted children, People's Artist My Uyen said that we should not focus too much on what their children will become in the future, but above all, this is the time to improve their skills.
"Most parents really want their children to be bold and confident, and importantly, they believe in themselves in an environment with direct access to develop their children's talents. At the same time, our 5B stage currently has many educational and entertainment children's plays, so we really need more young talented players.
Therefore, if the children are passionate, after finishing the training, we can completely support them to participate in performing with professional artists to learn the profession better" - People's Artist My Uyen shared.
