Mang Thit district's brick and pottery village, Vinh Long province, is hundreds of years old and is known as the largest and most famous red brick and pottery production place in the Mekong Delta, exporting to many countries around the world. This place is known as the "Kingdom of bricks and pottery". Each kiln roof, each row of bricks, each shimmering image with the natural river scenery typical of the brick and pottery village cannot be mistaken for any other.
Mang Thit brick and pottery village is one of the cultural features imbued with the identity of the people of the Southern land. Seeing the values, Vinh Long province has determined to implement the project "Mang Thit Contemporary Heritage" with the desire to develop people's lives, spread the beauty of the craft village and preserve the soul of a long-standing traditional craft village. The tourism potential of the craft village is shown through the unique beauty of the architecture and the ups and downs of the history of formation and development for more than a hundred years.
Mang Thit currently has about 500 establishments, of which Nhon Phu, My An, My Phuoc and Hoa Tinh communes, Mang Thit district, are the places with the most brick and ceramic production establishments. From a traditional craft village, the brick and ceramic kilns in Vinh Long have now become an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
