The land in the West of Thanh Hoa still hides many secrets, even though this place has been a place of settlement and employment for thousands of years for local residents. It was not until the Mai Son - National Highway 45 expressway was formed that the beauty of the Western Thanh Hoa region was revealed.
Many people may have heard the name "Tam Quy crab forest" located in the area of the three old communes of Ha Tan, Ha Dong and Ha Linh of Ha Trung district (now Ha Trung commune), because it is only 25km from Thanh Hoa city, however, to drive close to the forest gate and then walk in that honey crab forest, you have to go to the expressway and the inter-commune road system.
And now, the honey-laden forest appears like a sleeping princess with a pristine and fresh beauty. Rarely has there been a place where there are many and good preserves of unique honey worms - originally in the group of "four great diseases" including cloves - chives - worms - apples. That is why people say that this duck forest is not only the largest in Vietnam, but also the largest in Southeast Asia.
The climate is changing dramatically, the authorities must focus on the Net Zero (net zero emissions) road to achieve a balance between the amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted and the amount of GHG released from the atmosphere.
We are witnessing a record year of storms and floods that have devastated the country, as well as the obvious harm of air pollution caused by fine dust in large cities. Thus, the existence of forests such as Tam Quy hay forest is truly an invaluable asset of local people.
Even before entering the honey- mangrove forest, even if it was a gloomy, rainy winter day, the air covered the entire area with a fresh, clean and nutrient-rich air. There is absolutely no fine dust that makes every breath feel like a pointed bridge of the nose, flowing tears.
The hay forest has an area of 520 hectares, almost only growing hay. Only the forest cover and hay are intercropped with green lim, however, recently, forest planting and forest protection officers have sought to limit the development of green lim to protect hay. Both types of plants are bright, but green lim grows faster, so they suppress the honey.
The type of mustard in Tam Quy forest is the mustard, a large tree species with the scientific name Madhuca pasquieri belonging to the ruoi family (Sapotaceae), the ruoi family (Sapotales). In the world, honey is mainly distributed in China, Vietnam and some Southeast Asian countries.
In Vietnam, hay grows everywhere, but is mainly concentrated in the Northeast, North Central and Central Coast regions. Therefore, the phenomenon of Tam Quy forest growing only one honey species has created a rare forest, the most unique natural gathering place in Southeast Asia.
In the forest, there are many key fruit trees that have matured and existed for more than a century, considered the treasure of Tam Quy key fruit forest. These ancient ranks and tens of thousands of younger ranks are always strictly protected not only because honey ranks are a precious tree in the Vietnam Red Book but also possess many other values.
Therefore, since 1986, the Government has signed a decision to establish Tam Quy Cranberry National Reserve. And the more we see this decision, the more we see it as extremely correct, because thanks to that, the entire area of Ha Trung commune and the surrounding area has a valuable "green lung".
It is impossible to clearly understand the value of this "longan" if you do not take a deep and deep breath in the dinant forest. The fresh flavor of the air, the new oxygen concentration and the sweetness secreted from the sesame plant. The trunks, leaves, flowers, and fruits of honey worms all exude a fragrant aroma, explaining why people call them honey worms, in complete contrast to the rough taste of green lim.
When cooked, the honey mustard has a sweet taste, and a fragrant aroma like honey or soursop. Sesame seeds are used to press oil, creating a Sesame oil that is very good for cardiovascular disease, skin diseases, burns or used for cooking as vegetable oil. The pharmaceutical properties in intricate leaves also have good effects on wound healing and infection treatment...
The canopy also helps the groundwater around the area to stay cool and rarely dry, even though the drought is prolonged, it is home to many species of animals and birds. However, humans are the ones who benefit the most from the Tam Quy dinosaur forest.
Not only is it a source of fresh air, creating fresh water channels all year round, keeping geological stability, but this hay forest also creates a beautiful landscape. Strolling along the trail in the honeycomb forest is a luxury, like getting lost in a fairyland like Liu Yuan in the past.
An entire canopy of forest is covered with intercropping green, rarely leaving the sky skin on. The light is filtered through the leaves of the plant, so it becomes blurred, hazy or hazy. In the pure light of that forest, the beds stand out with dark brown, the color of sugarcane, creating a contrast but still in harmony with the green curtain above.
And the sweet taste that is hard to describe with a pen from the hay forest is the most miraculous thing. Without carpets or flower forests, we are like happy honeybees in a giant bag of honey, eagerly breathing in to reserve that scent and aroma in each lung pocket, compensating for the times living in the fine dust.
A day in the duck forest is a day of salvation for people!
