"Trang The Hy's Short Story Collection" includes his outstanding short stories, including new stories collected by Tre Publishing House in the weekly Nhan Loai newspaper, written by him under the pen name Van Phung My. The work was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of writer Trang The Hy and the 10th anniversary of Tre Publishing House signing a lifetime copyright contract for the writer's works.

Writer Trang The Hy (October 29, 1924 - December 8, 2015) real name is Vo Trong Canh, born in Huu Dinh, Chau Thanh, Ben Tre. His other pen names are Pham Vo, Van Phung My, Vu Ai Van, Song Diep, Minh Pham...
He was a member of the Vietnam Writers Association, a member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association for two terms, and Honorary President of the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Literature and Arts Association, Ben Tre.
He was awarded writing prizes such as: Nguyen Dinh Chieu Literature Prize of the Southern Liberation Literature and Arts Association (1960 - 1965) for the short story "Anh Thom Rau Rong". He was awarded by the Vietnam Writers Association in 1994 for the story collection "Tieng Cry va Tieng Sing" and was awarded the A prize by the National Committee of the Union of Vietnamese Literature and Arts Associations for the short story collection "Non Nuoc Mat" (2001).
In 2014, Tre Publishing House signed a lifetime copyright agreement with writer Trang The Hy. In 1992, writer Trang The Hy retired and went into seclusion in Ben Tre.
