Standing from above looking down, Vinh Hy Bay (Vinh Hai commune, Khanh Hoa province) is as small and beautiful as a handful. A small sea bow with boats hovering, drawing eye-catching eyes with the ocean, when the tide rises, forming a semi-circular mirror frame, with 2 mountain arcs hanging out like hands protecting the waves and winds.
Formed from mountains, seas, rocks, and water, Vinh Hy naturally gave birth to beautiful beauty, and is honored as one of the 4 most beautiful and pristine bays in Vietnam. That's just modest, but to compare, throughout the Southeast Asian sea region, there are few places with such beautiful bays, because there is no harmony between the Truong Son forest and the East Sea.
That geology makes Vinh Hy have mountain winds screaming, sea waves whirlling, eroding mountain rocks, turning rocks into sand to silk up the bay bank for millions of years. Therefore, Vinh Hy has its unusual beauty, like a Thai Ho stalactite slab.
Looking at the map, Vinh Hy is a small bay located in the Northeast and about 40km from the center of Phan Rang city. The sea of the South Central region is famous for its strange emerald green with many colors depending on daylight or season.
Along the road to Vinh Hy is the experience of admiring the crystal clear blue sea, winding limestone mountains and peaceful fishing villages nestled by the bay. That road belongs to the sea route considered one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the Central region.
The blue color of the sea, the green color of the forest covering the mountains, the deep blue sky like an ocean in the sky with countless boats formed by white clouds, transforming Vinh Hy with a vivid natural picture that makes every heart flutter as if lost in paradise.
The paradise exists in the legends of the local people. They say that in the past, the bay of their village had a simple name, Vung Gang. In the fishing village, there was a simple, gentle fisherman named Vinh Hy. One cool, windy night, he accidentally encountered a fairy with pure white wings coming to bathe.
In love from the first meeting, he swam to her to confide in her, and the two became husband and wife from then on. But unfortunately, when he sailed to fish in the open sea, the sky suddenly became big waves and strong winds, causing him to leave and never return.
The wife at home looked forward to news of him, in pain and despair ran up to Nui Chua, her tears flowed down into Lo O stream, and have flowed until today. Since then, Vung Gang has been renamed Vinh Hy to commemorate that strange but tragic love affair, and then the scenery here is filled with passionate love.
One year has 4 seasons, while Vinh Hy has 4 beautiful moments in a day. Each different moment of the day, Vinh Hy puts on a new coat, creating a unique beauty for himself.
Wake up at dawn, when the atmosphere is still filled with night dew, a dew that is not thin and light but like a drop of rain due to the condensation of moisture from the sea and rocky mountains higher than elsewhere. Sit on the embankment to slowly admire the sunshine as a giant fireball rising from the sea and emitting sparkling rays on the blue sea water.
When the sun rises, standing in the shadow of the pole, Vinh Hy is like a rock in a midday nap. The wind is also blowing very gently, making boats and basket boats seem motionless on a jade block. Everything is peaceful and unpredictablely quiet, like a magnificent bonsai scene of creation.
At sunset, Yongxi suddenly transforms into a fairy in bright pink clothes. The Western monstrous sunlight shines on the cliffs and mountains running in arcs around the bay, making them dazzling orange and red like flamboyant wings. Perhaps that is the spirit of the wings that brought the fairy here to bathe?
When the last light of the day has faded, the entire water trough suddenly bursts with countless stars. Boats light up and follow each other to go fishing at night, forming a halo of light in the ocean, commensurate with the string of jade and ivory jewels decorating the shops on the shore, also at the most bustling and exciting time.
The beauty is not only that! Thanks to being located next to Nui Chua National Park, Vinh Hy has become a convergence of 3 natural colors: a rich aquatic world and beautiful coral reefs, vast primeval forests and vertical limestone mountain ranges challenging wind and water saws.
All are encapsulated in the simple but kind human nature of the people of Vinh Hy fishing village. The small village leans against the mountains, facing the sea, keeping the peaceful rhythm of life of Central Vietnamese fishermen. Although tourism is developing strongly, they still maintain the tradition of their ancestors doing traditional crafts such as weaving nets, building boats, fishing, cage fish farming...
Vinh Hy owns a unique ecosystem thanks to being located next to Nui Chua National Park. Arid forests interspersed with blue sea create a rare harmony in Vietnam.
Vinh Hy contains many beautiful beaches with clear water to the point of seeing ripples of sand at the bottom, gentle waves and quiet space, making this place an ideal place to regain peace. These beaches are still pristine and close to nature such as Hom Beach, Coc Beach, Chuoi Beach, Binh Tien Beach, Ca Heo Cape...
