1943 - 1945:
From the end of 1943 to the uprising on August 19, 1945, Lao Dong Newspaper issued 12 issues. In which from May 1944 to May 1945, Lao Dong Newspaper issued 5 issues, each issue 4 small-format pages.
October 13, 1945:
The August Revolution was successful, on October 13, 1945, Lao Dong Newspaper was publicly launched. Newspaper headquarters at 51 Hang Bo, Hanoi.
Year 1946:
In January 1946, the newspaper was published on Saturdays every week. On May 20, 1946, the National Salvation Workers' Conference met and decided to unify the Vietnam Trade Union organizations into the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Lao Dong Newspaper was established and became the official mouthpiece of the Trade Union organization nationwide.
On December 12, 1946, Lao Dong Newspaper issued No. 42, the last issue in Hanoi Capital before entering the National Resistance War. Immediately after that was the "Editor-in-Chief in the Forest" period, continuing to publish 200 issues throughout 9 years of resistance.
November 6, 1954:
Peace was restored in 1954, Lao Dong Newspaper moved from Viet Bac to Hanoi. The first issue launched to the public in Hanoi was issue 276 dated November 6, 1954.
Year 1962:
Lao Dong Newspaper sends off its beloved colleagues to the South to strengthen the activities of the Liberation Trade Union. Among them are those who sacrificed for the cause of liberating the South. They are comrade Vo Van Ngoan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief; reporters Le Ai My, Le Nguyen Van.
Year 1978:
Lao Dong Newspaper is honored to receive the First-class Labor Medal awarded by the President.
December 3, 1989:
Lao Dong Newspaper publishes Lao Dong Sunday newspaper.
August 18, 1993:
The Ministry of Culture and Information agreed to allow Lao Dong Newspaper to increase its publishing period to 3 issues/week.
Year 1996:
Lao Dong has been invited to attend an international exhibition in Le Havre (France). At this exhibition, Courrier International voted Lao Dong as a famous newspaper along with 200 other newspapers in the world.
October 1996:
The Golden Heart Charity Fund was born.
May 19, 1999:
Lao Dong Electronic Newspaper was born and became one of the first two electronic newspapers in Vietnam.
2001:
Golden Heart Charity Fund receives the Third-class Labor Medal.
August 14, 1999:
Lao Dong Newspaper receives First-class Independence Medal.
May 1, 2004:
Lao Dong Newspaper officially launches the program "Glory of Vietnam" - honoring labor heroes and advanced examples nationwide.
August 14, 2009:
Lao Dong Newspaper is honored to receive the title of Labor Hero.
August 14, 2014:
Lao Dong Mobile was born. The newspaper also received the First-class Independence Medal for the second time.
2016:
Golden Heart Charity Fund receives the Third-class Labor Medal (2nd time).
Year 2017:
Lao Dong Newspaper moved to its new headquarters from No. 15, Alley 167 Tay Son (Dong Da) to No. 6 Pham Van Bach (Cau Giay, Hanoi).
August 14, 2019:
Lao Dong Newspaper received the First-class Labor Medal (2nd time).
December 2019:
The Multimedia Communication Center was established according to the Prime Minister's decision.
Year 2022:
Golden Heart Charity Fund receives Second-class Labor Medal.
Year 2024:
Lao Dong Newspaper received the First-class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in work from 2019 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - Nguyen Ngoc Hien receives the Second-class Labor Medal.
Lao Dong Newspaper increased 2 places from position No. 3 in 2023 to position No. 1 to lead among central press agencies in terms of the level of maturity of press digital transformation.
Opening of the English version of Lao Dong Electronic Newspaper with artificial intelligence (AI) translation technology.
Year 2025:

Lao Dong Newspaper has launched Chinese and Russian versions of Lao Dong e-newspaper and the Vietnam Trade Union Electronic Information Portal. Thus, from April 2026, Lao Dong e-newspaper will publish in 8 languages, including: Vietnamese, English, Korean, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Chinese.
