Monitoring and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements is a key task
In mid-June, Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) organized the 2026 Employee Conference. Amended and supplemented Collective Labor Agreements were signed. According to Mr. Vu Ha Thanh - Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union has conducted 6 periodic dialogues with the Company's Board of Directors on amending and supplementing regulations related to employees and implementing Collective Labor Agreements.
The content of the Collective Labor Agreement is supplemented and signed with highlights such as male workers whose wives give birth, within the first 30 days from the date of birth, are entitled to maternity leave according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance; including 5 working days off if the wife gives birth naturally; 7 working days off when the wife gives birth to a child requiring surgery, giving birth to a child under 32 weeks old; 10 working days off in cases where the wife gives birth to twins, from giving birth to triplets or more, each additional child is entitled to 3 working days off; 14 working days off in cases where the wife gives birth to twins or more and requires surgery. Employees must submit to the company valid documents according to regulations and guidance of the social insurance agency......
Notably, one of the tasks for the last 6 months of the year identified by the Company's Trade Union is to monitor and supervise the implementation of collective labor agreements, Resolution of the 2026 Workers' Meeting......
Also at the Employee Conference, the Company's Trade Union Executive Committee said that, through monitoring and grasping the thoughts and aspirations of employees, the Trade Union Executive Committee proposed that the Company's Board of Directors consider balancing the financial capacity of the company and the working conditions of employees, paying attention to implementing welfare regimes for employees; initially, it is proposed to supplement and apply the mid-shift meal regime to encourage employees. This proposal was resolved by the company's leaders right at the conference with the agreement to implement mid-shift meal support with a minimum level of 30,000 VND/meal.
Workers are represented and cared for from quality agreements
In Hanoi, the Capital Trade Union is constantly improving the quality of collective bargaining and signing collective labor agreements. As of June 30, 2026, the Hanoi Labor Federation has received 4,251 collective labor agreements. Of which, 264 were newly signed in the first 6 months of the year, and 136 were amended and supplemented. Currently, there are 4,185 valid ones, reaching a rate of 80.74% of the total number of enterprises with Trade Union organizations. In particular, 3,885 copies have been scored and classified, of which the rate of agreements reaching type B or higher accounts for 50.02%.
Not only increasing in quantity, the quality of collective labor agreements is also increasingly improved with many clauses that are more beneficial to workers compared to the provisions of law. Many businesses agree on a probationary salary level equal to at least 90% of the official salary level; arrange working hours of 7 hours/day or extra leave from 1 - 2 Saturdays each month; allow workers to take full-time leave on the day of business establishment; support lunch meals from 20,000 - 30,000 VND and supplement meals when working overtime from 2 hours or more; bonus for the 13th month salary; support for rent, travel expenses, raising young children, attendance allowance, seniority allowance... These clauses have contributed to improving income, improving living standards and creating motivation for workers to stick with the business for a long time.
To date, Hanoi city has 734/734 units organizing conferences of officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers, reaching a rate of 100%; at the same time, there are 2,933/4,998 enterprises organizing laborers' conferences, reaching 68.24%. Trade union levels support the organization of dialogues at 17 enterprises, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations between employees and employers. Trade unions also proactively advise competent authorities on contents of supervision and social criticism related to the rights of union members and laborers...
