After the day of the South liberated, unified the country, the earnest desire of the Southern people in general and the people of Dong Thap in particular to be welcomed Uncle Ho to visit. And thinking that if he was not died, he would surely go to the South, visit Dong Thap where the tomb of Deputy Nguyen Sinh Sac - his beloved father.
At the same time, meeting the aspirations of the people of the South, especially people in remote areas, there is no conditions to visit stilt houses, visit Uncle Ho's residence and work in Hanoi capital from 1958 to 1969, the Party Committee, authorities and people of Dong Thap province have asked for the policy and approved by the Central Government to build a stilt house model in the ratio of January 1 on KDT Nguyen Sinh Sac.
The project started in February 1990 and was inaugurated on May 19, 1990 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 1990). Particularly in front of Uncle Ho's stilt house in the KDT campus, Dong Thap lotus pond was built in the image of the administrative map of Dong Thap province. Under the pond planting a lot of lotus flowers showing the characteristics and unique images of Dong Thap province, as the poet Bao Dinh Giang once wrote: "The most beautiful Tower of the lotus; Vietnam is the most beautiful named Uncle Ho".

- Nguyen Sinh Sac Urban Area is a complex of historical - cultural relics with an area of nearly 9 hectares (including the following items: The tomb of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac; Uncle Ho's stilt House; Exhibition House of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac; President Ho Chi Minh Exhibition House for the Vietnamese Revolution).
Since its operation, this place has become a place that attracts hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to visit, study, play and entertain. With the stature and historical value of the urban area, on April 9, 1992, the Minister of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued Decision No. 420/QD-BVHTT to classify it as a National Historical - Cultural Relic.

- Within the framework of the 95th death anniversary of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac, on December 4, 2024, Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Central Propaganda Department and Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a scientific workshop on "Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac - a lifelong example for the country, for the people".
