Creating breakthroughs in improving labor productivity
* Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks of Hanoi City, Chairman of the Trade Union of Meiko Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd.: 20 years since its establishment, in any circumstances, Meiko Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd. has always cared about the material and spiritual life of employees by taking care of jobs, income, salaries, bonuses, allowances, and subsidies; the lives of workers are increasingly improved. In particular, implementing the law on democracy at the grassroots level well, through organizing the Employee Conference, the Workplace Dialogue Conference, the Trade Union has negotiated and signed collective labor agreements with many advantages for employees.

In addition, the Trade Union organizes emulation movements to increase labor productivity, improve product quality, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises, helping enterprises develop sustainably. From the reality of the unit, before the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, I expect the Trade Union organization to continue to widely deploy patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and promote union members and workers to strive to study, research, innovate, and strongly apply science and technology to production and work, contributing to creating breakthroughs in improving labor productivity and implementing the goal of double-digit growth.
Innovate and elevate the traditional emulation movements of the Trade Union organization to meet the requirements of the new situation; launch the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" from the foundation of the emulation movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor". It is necessary to promote digital transformation and apply artificial intelligence in trade union organization activities.

* Mr. Le Van Minh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation: The Trade Union has organized many meaningful activities. We need to assign people to be in charge and write and post articles and images to spread these positive things and good activities on social networking platforms. For upper-level Trade Unions, it is necessary to promote digital transformation, apply artificial intelligence in organizing the activities of the Trade Union organization; as well as in managing officials, union members and employees. Organize training in artificial intelligence for Trade Union officials.
Currently, for the field of Trade Union Shelter, building and repairing houses for workers, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation has implemented a number of quite positive contents (The Mutual Assistance Fund supported 120 million to build houses; deploying and disseminating social housing projects to workers...) but the housing needs of workers are still a difficult and arduous issue. Therefore, it is proposed that trade union levels need to pay more attention to this issue to help workers settle down and work. (Nghĩa Thanh recorded)
Expecting the Trade Union to actively participate in building policies and laws

* Mr. Dao Manh Kien - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation: With the characteristics of the aviation industry having high labor intensity, strict requirements for safety and service quality, therefore, before the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, I hope the Trade Union will promote propaganda as well as propose and coordinate with employers to drastically implement solutions to ensure occupational safety and health according to the specific characteristics of the industry.
I believe that safety must always be put first, not only for the health and life of workers but also for the benefit of businesses and society. Occupational safety and hygiene measures and solutions according to industry characteristics need to be summarized and mapped in a digital environment to be easy to understand and implement, and workers can refer to more detailed information (if necessary) through the electronic library.
On the other hand, the Trade Union needs to proactively participate in building and perfecting policies and laws related to the legitimate rights and interests of workers, considering this as the most effective measure to protect workers. We also expect the Trade Union organization to focus on policies and laws on labor, employment, wages, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational safety and health, housing and cultural institutions serving trade union members and workers. Each meal of the Trade Union Meal contains the feelings and responsibilities of the Trade Union

* Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation: The Trade Union Meal Program is a practical activity, showing the deep concern of the Trade Union organization for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Through warm, nutritious meals, the Trade Union organization wishes to send feelings, sharing and gratitude for the great contributions of workers to the development of businesses and the Capital.
Each meal, although not of great material value, contains the feelings, responsibility and companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers. This is also an opportunity for trade union leaders at all levels and business leaders to listen to the thoughts and aspirations, share the difficulties of workers, and thereby continue to have better solutions to care for the workforce. We hope that in the coming time, businesses will continue to accompany the Trade Union organization to build a safe, friendly, stable and sustainable working environment. (Gia Han recorded)
Expecting specific policies on income for health sector union members

Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union: The health sector has many characteristics of high work pressure, high intensity, high occupational risk, I expect the Trade Union organization in the next term to innovate even more strongly in a professional, in-depth and substantive direction. The Trade Union must not only stop at mass movement activities but must become an organization with strong representative capacity, policy voice and ability to protect workers more effectively.
For medical union members, what they need is not only spiritual encouragement but also specific policies on income, a safe working environment, reducing professional pressure, mental health care and creating conditions for long-term career development.
We also want to build the image of a brave, responsible, approachable and daring to speak out for the legitimate rights of union members in the medical industry. When workers are better cared for, they will be assured to contribute, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong and humane Vietnamese health system. (Do Phuong wrote)
I am grateful to the Trade Union organization

* Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga - worker at Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd.: My family situation is very difficult. My husband died early, I alone raise 3 children; unfortunately, 1 child is paralyzed. Working as a worker for 16 years, my current income is about 10 million VND. This amount of money must be very frugal to cover the minimum costs for me and my children. Difficult circumstances but I am fortunate to always receive the care and sharing of the Trade Union organization.
Right in the Trade Union Meal program organized during the recent Workers' Month, I and 19 other workers who are also in difficult circumstances were given allowances by the Trade Union, including 1 million VND in cash and gift bags. This amount of money is very meaningful to me because it not only saves some monthly expenses but also once again shows me the timely companionship and support for workers of the Trade Union organization. I am very grateful to the Trade Union organization. (Kieu Vu wrote)
Hoping the regional minimum wage will be adjusted to increase reasonably

* Mr. Nguyen Van Tam - a worker working in Thanh Hoa: After many years of working as a worker in Hanoi, 1 year ago I decided to return to my hometown of Thanh Hoa to continue to be attached to the factory work. My wife still continues to work as a worker in Hanoi. The income problem in the countryside is always a big challenge for workers returning to their hometown.
Working in the countryside, if you don't work overtime, the salary is extremely meager, only fluctuating in the range of 5-6 million VND/month. In months with overtime, income only increases by 7-8 million VND/month. This income level is very difficult to ensure that a small family can stabilize their lives without worrying or struggling. Therefore, I really hope that the Trade Union organization will increasingly enhance its role in negotiating and strongly dialoguing with relevant parties so that the regional minimum wage is adjusted to increase reasonably every year. Only then can the income and lives of direct workers like me be improved. (Minh Phuong wrote)
Hoping the Trade Union will coordinate more closely to promote social housing projects

* Mr. Nguyen Huu Hau - a worker working in Hanoi: As a long-time migrant worker, I have become accustomed to a frugal lifestyle, saving every penny. But in recent years, the pressure to spend has become greater than ever. Currently, my income is about 16 million VND per month. However, all living expenses from rent, electricity and water bills, food and schooling for children to sending home to help the family must be managed by myself from this worker's salary.
In the context of the increasingly difficult problem of food and clothing, workers really need an income level sufficient to cover living expenses and have a part to accumulate for the future. Therefore, I really hope that the Trade Union will continue to further enhance its representative role, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers through substantive and effective negotiation activities on salaries, bonuses and welfare regimes at enterprises. I hope that the Trade Union organization will coordinate more closely with local authorities and businesses to promote more social housing projects with reasonable prices, helping workers have the opportunity to access a stable home and feel secure in their careers.
