On March 21, the Can Tho City Labor Federation organized a gift-giving ceremony for workers in difficult circumstances in Thoi An Dong ward. Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - wholeheartedly visited and presented each gift to workers in difficult circumstances working at companies in the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zone.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai expressed her wish that grassroots Trade Union levels continue to promote their role and be a reliable support for workers, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to have more practical and effective activities in the new situation.
Receiving gifts from the Trade Union organization, Mr. Dinh Phuoc Hien (32 years old), a worker at VIENOVO Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Tra Noc 1 Industrial Park) expressed: "I thank the Trade Union organization for their concern and support for those in difficult circumstances and feel warm when there is an organization that cares for workers with practical activities.
On this occasion, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented 88 gifts worth more than 70 million VND (each gift includes 500,000 VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND). This is an activity to celebrate the successful election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term of the city.
Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai said that the gifts show the sharing and responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members. It is known that the Tet Sum vay, Spring of Gratitude to the Party program, the City Labor Federation has awarded over 20,000 gifts to workers and laborers with an amount of over 21 billion VND.
