Attending and directing the Congress were comrades: Thach Van Chung - Provincial Party Committee Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation; comrade Dang Dinh Hoan - Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Giang ward.
The Congress was also attended by leaders of a number of departments and professional boards of the Provincial and Bac Giang Ward Labor Federations and 100 outstanding delegates representing more than 14,000 union members and workers of 115 affiliated grassroots unions.
The 1st Bac Giang Ward Trade Union Congress is a political event of special significance, taking place in the context of the whole province completing the arrangement of administrative units, implementing the two-level local government model and reorganizing the trade union system in a streamlined and efficient manner. Bac Giang ward was established on the basis of merging 7 old wards of Bac Giang city, with a population of more than 122 thousand people, of which more than 14,000 people are workers, civil servants, and laborers working at agencies, units, and enterprises in the area.
After just over three months of establishment (from July 1, 2025), the Ward Trade Union has quickly improved its organization, received 115 grassroots trade unions, proactively implemented the tasks of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. Since its inception, the Bac Giang Ward Trade Union has directed 100% of grassroots trade unions to coordinate with unit and enterprise leaders to implement democratic regulations at the workplace, organize labor conferences and periodic dialogues.
The whole ward has more than 85% of enterprises with trade unions conducting negotiations and signing collective labor agreements with more favorable terms for employees than those prescribed by law. The ward union has implemented many practical care activities for union members, attracting about 10,000 union members and workers to participate. Along with that, grassroots unions have actively implemented welfare programs for union members, helping more than 2,000 workers enjoy incentives with a total value of nearly 200 million VND...
The Congress discussed and agreed to approve the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term with specific targets: 100% of grassroots trade unions well implemented democratic regulations at the grassroots level; 90% or more of enterprises with trade unions signed collective labor agreements; developing 500 new union members each year; 100% of grassroots trade union officials were trained and trained; maintaining and promoting practical and effective emulation movements.
Speaking at the congress, Comrade Thach Van Chung and Comrade Dang Dinh Hoan acknowledged and commended the spirit of solidarity, efforts and responsibility of the Ward Union Executive Committee in the past term. Comrades highly appreciated the initiative of the Ward Trade Union in quickly stabilizing the organization after the merger, innovating the methods of operation, strongly orienting towards the grassroots, performing well the role of representation, caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Comrades suggested that in the new term, the Ward Union should continue to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 1st Bac Giang Ward Party Congress, concretize it with practical action programs, promote the courage, intelligence, and pioneering spirit of the union cadres. Trade unions must constantly innovate the content and methods of operation, improve the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing union members and workers; promote digital transformation in management and propaganda; diversify forms of education, fostering professional skills, legal awareness, and industrial style for workers.
At the same time, the Trade Union needs to better fulfill its role as a "trusted support" for workers, civil servants, and laborers, proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations, coordinate to promptly resolve arising difficulties, problems, and disputes; build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations. At the same time, it is necessary to promote patriotic emulation movements, linking trade union activities with the task of socio-economic development, building civilized urban areas, and people's lives are getting better and better.
The leaders expressed their confidence that the new term Bac Giang Ward Trade Union Executive Committee will continue to promote the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", worthy of being a pioneer force in the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers; contributing to building an increasingly civilized and beautiful Bac Giang ward, actively contributing to the overall development of the province.
The Congress announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee of the Bac Giang Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 11 comrades. At the same time, the Standing Committee, the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Inspection Committee of the Bac Giang Ward Trade Union were appointed. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien, member of the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, continued to be appointed as Chairwoman of the Bac Giang Ward Federation of Labor for the 2025-2030 term.
