On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), on July 13, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized the program "Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union accompanies development for workers' rights".
The program was attended by Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Thi Ha; leaders of departments, branches, sectors; socio-political organizations of the province; full-time union officials and nearly 1,000 Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots unions in enterprises.
At the program, delegates reviewed the glorious traditions of the working class and the Vietnamese trade union organization, as well as the local traditions. Affirming that the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union took place at a special historical time, the merger of the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. This is an opportunity for the Trade Union to restructure and strengthen the streamlined, efficient apparatus, in line with the new administrative model.
Entering a new stage of development, the Bac Ninh Trade Union will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, excellently complete assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set by the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced and presented the decision to establish 36 grassroots unions; presented the "For the cause of building trade union organizations" commemorative medal to 19 trade union officials who have made many contributions to the cause of building a strong trade union organization.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor organized a seminar on "Bac Ninh Workers firmly enter the new era" to listen to and understand the thoughts, feelings and concerns of grassroots union cadres in the new period. At the seminar, the grassroots union cadres also expressed their confidence and hope that the new Bac Ninh Trade Union system will always maintain its role as a reliable bridge between the Party, the State and the working class and laborers.
Appreciating the significance of the program, demonstrating the determination to act for the grassroots and for workers of the Bac Ninh Trade Union in the new period, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huong Giang requested that trade unions at all levels in the province, especially the team of grassroots trade union chairmen, quickly stabilize and continue to strengthen the organization and apparatus; promote the tradition of solidarity and a sense of responsibility; promote and do a good job of representing, caring for and protecting the rights of workers, especially in industrial parks.
Along with that, strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining, improve the quality of collective labor agreements, build a safe, progressive and humane working environment; increase propaganda and dissemination of legal education among workers; raise social responsibility, mobilize workers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, develop production and business in combination with environmental protection.
Continue to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions, improve the quality of the working capacity of trade union cadres, especially at the grassroots level; promote the role of trade union organizations in participating in building a clean and strong Party and government.
Proactively coordinate to participate in implementing supervision and social criticism of the implementation of policies related to workers; proactively resolve and participate in resolving pressing and prominent issues in labor relations, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety and promoting local economic development.
