On August 20, Can Tho City's Health Sector Trade Union organized the Trade Union Golden Heart Scholarship Award program for children of civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Health sector who overcame difficulties and studied well in the 2023 - 2024 school year.
Attending were Vice Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Confederation Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Health Nguyen Ngoc Viet Nga.
Speaking at the program, Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Health Sector Trade Union Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ly informed that the Trade Union's Golden Heart Charity Fund was established to support union members, officers, workers, officials and workers in difficult circumstances. In 2024, the city's Health sector contributed over 300 million VND to the Golden Heart Fund, exceeding the assigned target. Accordingly, the Health Industry Union has requested support for 3 cases of serious illness (7,000,000 VND).
At the program, 85 students who are children of civil servants, public employees, and health workers who overcame difficulties and studied well received scholarships from the Organizing Committee. In particular, the scholarship value has been adjusted to increase, minimum 600,000 VND/level I student and maximum 1,000,000 VND/high school student.
