On January 23, information from the Can Tho Health Sector Trade Union said that the unit had just held a Conference to summarize the Trade Union's activities in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.
During the year, the City Health Sector Trade Union organized propaganda, dissemination and study of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union and the 11th Congress of Can Tho City Trade Union.
The program "Tet sum vay, xuan chia chia" organized by the Industry Union presented 30 gifts to union members with serious illnesses; 20 gifts to union members in especially difficult circumstances; visited and presented gifts to medical staff on duty on the 30th of Tet. Also on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, the unit presented 310 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
The industry union has proposed and supported 4 union members in difficult circumstances with serious illnesses with the amount of 9 million VND; Mobilized support to repair 1 union shelter for union members in difficult circumstances with serious illnesses.
During Workers' Month 2024 with the theme "Worker Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution", the Health Sector Trade Union directed grassroots trade unions to organize activities that bring practical results, taking care of union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CCVCLD).
In celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), the unit organized an Art Performance in the Health Sector with over 250 actors participating. For the first time, the Trade Union organized a Trade Union Meal with 2,240 members and employees participating.
Social charity activities are also of interest to the industry and are well implemented. Accordingly, hospitals have established social work departments to support people coming for medical examination and connect with benefactors to help those in difficulty. On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, hospitals have mobilized benefactors to visit and give gifts to patients under treatment, with an estimated budget of over 550 million VND.
The industry's trade union has mobilized members and employees to donate blood voluntarily at the Spring Festival, Red Sunday, and the "Red Color of Trade Union Members" Festival. At the same time, it has coordinated with specialized sectors to mobilize and support the people in the North affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) with an amount of over 2 billion VND and participated in the delegation to directly support the people affected by the damage in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province.
With the achieved results, the City Health Sector Trade Union was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the City Labor Federation Executive Committee as an excellent unit in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and Trade Union activities in 2024.
