On December 31, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Xuan - Chairwoman of the Gia Lai Provincial Health Sector Trade Union said that in 2024, the unit has paid attention to and taken care of the lives of union members and workers.
The industry union visited and gave gifts to 221 union members and workers and donated necessities to 6 hospitals on duty for 3 days of Tet, with a total amount of 220 million VND.
The Trade Union supports people in Plei Hek village, Chu A Thai commune, Phu Thien district with 25 million VND on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.
The industry union also participated in the contest “Workers, civil servants, and laborers with traditional cakes and jams”. All products were donated by the industry union to 180 union members in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, and 6 hospitals in the area with a total cost of 130 million VND.
On the occasion of Workers' Month, the Provincial Health Sector Trade Union proposed that the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation support 2 union members of the Provincial General Hospital's grassroots trade union to build and repair houses from the "Union Shelter" program with an amount of 60 million VND; and give 20 gifts to 20 union members in difficult circumstances and with serious illnesses with an amount of 10 million VND.
The industry union coordinated with the Department of Health to organize a team to examine and provide free medicine to people in Plei Hek village, Chu A Thai commune, Phu Thien district.
The industry union alone gave gifts to 10 poor households, 5 bicycles and 96 school uniforms to primary to high school students in the village with a total cost of 25 million VND, all funds mobilized from donors.
With the above achievements, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded the Emulation Flag for the Collective with excellent achievements in the emulation movement, activities and building of the trade union organization in 2024 to the Health Sector Trade Union; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Commemorative Medal "For the cause of building the trade union organization".
