On December 11, the Labor Federation of Co Do district (Can Tho city) announced that the unit had just held a conference to review the first quarter's Union activities and deploy directions and tasks for the second quarter of the grassroots Union of schools, school year 2024 - 2025.
Accordingly, in the first quarter of the 2024-2025 school year, the school trade unions have carried out the emulation movement well, actively participated in social and charitable activities launched at all levels; participated in supporting 2 days of salary to the Fund for the poor and people in the North affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of more than 1.8 billion VND.
Regarding care work, the Union at all levels mobilized social resources, local budget sources, Union finances and union member welfare programs, presenting more than 1,350 gifts to female union members and workers on the occasion of October 20 (more than 270 million VND); on the occasion of the new school year opening and Mid-Autumn Festival, mobilizing more than 2,570 gifts to children (more than 528 million VND); presenting more than 220 gifts to retired teachers (100 million VND) in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 1 collective and 3 individuals; awarded the Comprehensive Emulation Flag of the Can Tho City Labor Federation to the Trade Union of Trung An 1 Primary School; awarded Comprehensive and Special Certificates of Merit from the Can Tho City Labor Federation to 5 collectives and 9 individuals; awarded "Two Good" Certificates of Merit at the district level to 5 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in Trade Union activities and the movement of workers and employees in the 2023-2024 school year, with a total bonus value of more than 72 million VND.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Thua - Vice Chairman of the Co Do District Labor Federation - acknowledged the contributions of the bloc in the past time, and at the same time hoped that in the coming time, the unit would do a good job of propaganda work, especially the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; implement the union member welfare program and seek partners, do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.
