On January 4, the Hai Chau District Labor Federation, Da Nang City, announced that the unit had organized a conference to summarize the Union's work in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025. In 2024, the Hai Chau District Labor Federation focused on taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, such as providing 7,000 free shopping vouchers worth 700 million VND to 1,400 union members and workers in the Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia Tet Nguyen Dan Giap Thin Program (the City Labor Federation supported 4,400 vouchers).
Granted 1,570 subsidies to union members and workers in difficult circumstances worth 785 million VND (City Labor Federation supported 600 subsidies). Notably, this year, Hai Chau District Labor Federation surveyed and requested the City Labor Federation to support the construction and repair of Trade Union Shelters for 6 new constructions and 2 repair cases, with a total cost of 340 million VND.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh, President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, in 2024, the Hai Chau District Labor Federation performed well the assigned tasks. Especially in taking care of the lives of workers and union members. This unit is also one of the 3 units that exceeded the assigned target in developing union members.
Promoting digital transformation in Trade Union activities
According to the Hai Chau District Labor Federation, in 2025, there will be many activities to celebrate major holidays of the country, the city and Hai Chau District. Therefore, the Hai Chau District Labor Federation will focus on propagating and concretizing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels, term 2023 - 2028, especially the Resolution of the 6th Congress of the Hai Chau District Trade Union and the Resolution of the Grassroots Trade Union Congress with specific plans and programs to be implemented during the year.
The grassroots trade union will coordinate with the government to organize a conference of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and a truly democratic conference of workers, ensuring the correct procedures, content and time according to the Law on Democracy Implementation at the Grassroots Level. Negotiate and sign collective labor agreements for grassroots trade unions in non-public enterprises and schools. Mobilize union members, public employees and workers to successfully complete their main tasks at agencies, units and enterprises.
The Hai Chau District Labor Federation will also continue to promote the mobilization of union members to effectively implement the Politburo's directive on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style". Actively respond to and implement the movement to build culturally standard agencies, units and enterprises. Effectively implement Directive 34 and the 4-safe city program.
At the same time, this unit will also develop a plan to implement two breakthrough programs during the term: continuing to improve the professional quality, understanding of the Trade Union and the law for the Trade Union staff, especially grassroots Trade Union staff outside the state sector. Strengthening digital transformation in Trade Union activities, especially financial management, organizational management, union member management and grassroots Trade Union.
