News from Hoa Cuong Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on June 8 said: Hoa Cuong Ward Trade Union has actively participated in the Launching Ceremony to respond to World Environment Day and Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2026 organized by the locality, with the participation of a large number of officials, union members, association members and people in the area.
At the ceremony, the Ward Trade Union together with the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward and socio-political organizations signed a commitment to action for the environment.
The activity demonstrates the determination and responsibility of the entire political system in joining hands to protect the environment, build a civilized, green and sustainable lifestyle.
According to the commitment content, the units will promote propaganda and mobilize union members, association members and people to carry out domestic waste classification at source; limit the use of disposable plastic products; increase the use of environmentally friendly products; and at the same time promote the exemplary role of officials, union members, and association members in environmental protection and climate change response.
On this occasion, the program organizers also presented many environmentally friendly plastic bags to union members and local people. These plastic bags, although simple, are practical in replacing disposable plastic bags, contributing to reducing plastic waste in daily life.
