The Da Nang City Labor Federation has just organized a ceremony to admit union members and establish a grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Quang Nam Stone Trading and Production Joint Stock Company.
In Dong Que Son Industrial Park, Quang Nam Stone Trading and Production Joint Stock Company is an enterprise operating in the field of Quartz powder processing and quartz board production. After a period of stable production and business, the enterprise currently has 63 officials and employees working in the administrative - personnel, accounting, business - warehouse, quality management, mechanical and electrical and production workshop departments.
From the actual needs of workers and businesses, the collective of workers has proposed that the Da Nang City Labor Federation consider admitting union members and establishing grassroots trade unions. The establishment of a Trade Union organization at the enterprise is expected to create more support for workers, and at the same time build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the factory.
According to the decision of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, 62 employees of Quang Nam Stone Trading and Production Joint Stock Company were approved to be admitted to the Vietnam Trade Union. The grassroots trade union of Quang Nam Stone Trading and Production Joint Stock Company was also recognized as directly under the Da Nang City Labor Federation; Ms. Duong Thi Phuoc Thien holds the position of Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union.
In the context that industrial parks in Da Nang continue to attract businesses and labor, developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in non-state-owned enterprises is an important task. Each newly established grassroots trade union will contribute to bringing the Trade Union organization closer to workers, especially the direct labor force in production workshops.
For Quang Nam Stone Trading and Production Joint Stock Company, the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union is considered a starting point to build a more stable working environment, where workers have an organization to accompany them, and businesses have more bridges to listen, share and develop sustainably.
