Da Nang promotes support for the labor market and businesses with a focus on connecting labor supply and demand, vocational training associated with business needs by 2025.

80% of workers have returned to work

According to the leaders of the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, as of February 4 (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), 80% of workers and laborers in industrial parks in Da Nang city have returned to work as usual after the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday. Most enterprises started production on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year. Currently, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones is managing 500 enterprises with 70,000 workers. Of which, 129 are foreign-invested enterprises.

Mr. Tran Van Vu - Director of the Department of Statistics of Da Nang City also informed that in 2025, Da Nang will continue to implement the city's "Employment" program for the period 2022 - 2025, the Labor Market Development Support Program until 2030, the Project on Human Resources Forecasting and Labor Market Information in the city. In which, promoting the application of information technology in connecting labor supply and demand.

Da Nang will also implement a plan to develop a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable and integrated labor market. Especially vocational training programs linked to the human resource needs of the city's businesses.

Organize training programs to improve the capacity of enterprises in terms of skills to penetrate target markets and exploit preferential commitments in free trade agreements. Support and guide export enterprises to access trade defense measures in foreign markets, increase added value and competitiveness of export products.

Da Nang businesses restart after Tet

A representative of Pi Vina Da Nang Co., Ltd. said that after the Tet holiday, the company will welcome workers back to work on February 3 (the 6th). Pi Vina Da Nang Co., Ltd. is a textile and garment enterprise located in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), mainly exporting goods to the US market. In early 2025, this unit needs to recruit 100 sewing workers and general laborers to meet production needs during the year.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bui Minh Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union of Foster Electronics Danang Co., Ltd. (Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District, Danang City) said that the unit has not yet started production.

"Currently, our unit has not yet started production in early 2025. We also have no plans to recruit workers during this time," said Mr. Bui Minh Vu.

According to Mr. Vu, during the recent Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, each worker was awarded a 13th month salary. The company held a year-end party and the Union also organized Tet gifts for workers in difficult circumstances. The company still maintains stable jobs to ensure employee retention to prepare for the production plan right after the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to the leader of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, workers are an important resource of agencies, units and enterprises. Therefore, taking care of the lives and working environment is a way for Da Nang City units and enterprises to retain union members and workers. This helps increase productivity and work efficiency, creating motivation for units and enterprises to develop quickly and sustainably.
