On the afternoon of October 29, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones - and the working delegation organized the acceptance and handover of "Trade Union Shelter" to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhien - a member of the shaping department of Co May Import Export Company Limited (Group 2, Tan Phu Hamlet, Tan Phuoc Commune, Lai Vung District, Dong Thap).
After nearly 3 months of construction, the new house is now spacious with an area of 80m2, tiled floor, brick walls, corrugated iron roof with a total construction cost of 218 million VND. Of which, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation supported 55,000,000 VND from the Dong Thap Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch. The remaining amount is from the family's savings and the help of relatives and friends.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Nhien thanked the Dong Thap Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch and the Trade Union for their attention, support, and financial support to help her family have their dream house and promised to overcome all difficulties and strive to complete the assigned tasks well.
It is known that Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhien has a particularly difficult situation. She is a single mother with 2 daughters and takes care of her 85-year-old mother. After many treatments, her daughter born in 1998 had a brain tumor and passed away in July 2024. Currently, she takes care of her mother who cannot walk on her own and her young daughter who is in kindergarten. The whole family lives in a level 4 house that has been degraded for many years, is unsafe and does not have the ability to rebuild.
Congratulating Ms. Nhien's family, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan hopes that after having a new home, she will stabilize her life, feel secure in her work and work, and complete her assigned tasks well.
