Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Secretary of the grassroots Party Committee, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the Congress is of special significance, marking a new step in the development of the grassroots Party Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor. This is also an opportunity for the Party Committee to objectively and comprehensively evaluate the results of implementing political tasks and Party building work in the past term; at the same time, determine the direction, goals and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The Party Secretary suggested that the delegates promote a sense of responsibility, democracy, and intelligence, focus on in-depth discussions on key contents, contributing to the success of the Congress, creating a premise to build an increasingly strong Party Committee and successfully complete assigned political tasks.
At the Congress, Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Secretary of the grassroots Party Committee, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor - presented a report to the Party Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term. In the past term, despite facing many difficulties, with a spirit of solidarity and responsibility, the Party Committee has successfully completed the assigned political tasks. The Trade Union organization constantly innovates the content and methods of operation, deploying many effective and creative models such as "Union Shelter", "Lighting up the Border", "Union Meal", "Union grocery store", "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space", ... Thereby, contributing to practically caring for union members and workers; spreading the image of the Trade Union organization as close and humane.
Party building work has had many positive changes. Party cell activities have been innovated, associated with grassroots practices. The models of "Over-the-counter information" to help party members understand deeply and remember long-term", living at red addresses, "Land pigs supporting party members" are considered bright spots. The grasp of ideology and public opinion among cadres, party members, and workers has received attention, contributing to strengthening the internal solidarity and unity bloc.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Pham Viet Kien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's agencies, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - praised the outstanding results of the Party Committee, especially in innovating leadership methods, promoting the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Party Committee continue to improve the quality of Party cell activities, focus on ideological work and developing Party members; Promote the application of information technology, digital transformation, building a modern and professional Party organization and Trade Union organization; Proactively grasp the thoughts and public opinion, especially in the context of the arrangement of provincial administrative units, ensuring stability of the situation and creating consensus; Continue to pay attention to taking care of workers' lives, developing new, effective models, suitable for each type of enterprise and region.
At the Congress, delegates unanimously approved the Resolution with 7 specific targets and 6 groups of tasks and solutions to be implemented in the 2025 - 2030 term.
