On December 28, in Sa Dec City, the Dong Thap Industrial Park and Economic Zone Trade Union (DIPZTC) held the 5th Executive Committee Conference, term III, 2023-2026, and summarized the activities of the Trade Union and workers' movement in 2024.
Speaking at the summary of activities, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Industrial Trade Union, Dong Thap Economic Zone - said that in 2024, due to the impact of reduced unit prices, orders, lack of production materials, etc., many units and enterprises had to cut production and business activities, directly affecting the income and life of a number of union members, workers and laborers.
However, with efforts to complete the task, the Industrial Park Trade Union, Dong Thap Economic Zone has constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, gradually removed difficulties, excellently completed the assigned tasks, achieved and exceeded 15/15 targets.
Outstanding is the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Last year, with many good and creative ways, the Dong Thap Industrial Zone Trade Union and its affiliated trade unions promoted the financial resources of the trade union in combination with the support of unit leaders, enterprises, etc., thereby attracting a large source of funding. From this financial source, the trade union organized visits and gave practical gifts to union members and workers on holidays, Tet, and Workers' Month, etc., with a total amount of over 23 billion VND.
Through caring activities, the Trade Union not only helps union members and workers stabilize their lives but also feel secure in working with a creative spirit. Thereby, actively responding to patriotic emulation movements launched by the Trade Union in accordance with the situation of the unit and enterprise.
