Trade Union meal warms the hearts of workers
With many practical and creative activities to care for union members and workers in Workers' Month 2026, especially the "Trade Union Meal" model with rich humanistic meaning, the grassroots Trade Union of Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Hospital of Medicine and Pharmacy has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation for outstanding achievements.
As a private medical unit with 451 union members, reaching a rate of 100% of employees participating in the Trade Union organization, the grassroots Trade Union of Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Medical Hospital always faces the specific difficulties of the health sector when the team of doctors, nurses and staff must work continuously 24/7, regularly on emergency duty, working in shifts and under high professional pressure.
The highlight is the "Trade Union Meal" program, organized with the companionship of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management of the Hospital.
The value of each meal is increased by 80,000 VND compared to normal days, the menu is scientifically built, nutritious and ensures food safety, contributing to regenerating labor for the medical staff after shifts.
To avoid affecting medical examination and treatment activities, the Trade Union Executive Committee arranged many flexible meal times, helping about 380 union members and workers participate in the program.
In that context, the Trade Union Executive Committee has proactively innovated the way of organizing Workers' Month activities, selecting models suitable to the actual conditions so that all union members have the opportunity to participate and enjoy.
Trade unions connect to make workers feel secure and attached
Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Loan, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of the University Medical Center Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai, said that with the nature of the health sector operating continuously, organizing focused activities is always a difficult problem. Therefore, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union chooses flexible forms so that all union members can participate and benefit.
In our opinion, a nutritious meal not only helps workers recover their health after high-intensity working hours but is also an opportunity for the Trade Union Executive Committee to be closer to union members, listen to their thoughts and aspirations and promptly share and encourage them. That is also the greatest value that the program brings," Ms. Loan shared.
This year's Workers' Month, the grassroots Trade Union also coordinated with professional departments to improve the quality of lunch meals, pay attention to improving working conditions, ensuring occupational safety and health, and mobilized support for 6 union members in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 9 million VND.
The hospital also continues to invest in facilities, modern equipment, improve the working environment, maintain the cooling system, pay attention to salary regimes, allowances and welfare policies to create conditions for employees to feel secure in their work and be attached to the unit for a long time.
Assessing the achieved results, leaders of the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that the grassroots Trade Union of Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Medical Hospital is one of the units effectively implementing Workers' Month 2026, with many models of care close to the needs of union members and workers.
At the same time, he expressed his expectation that the grassroots Trade Union will continue to promote effective models, replicate good practices, contribute to building harmonious and stable labor relations and building a team of medical staff who are increasingly attached and dedicated to the profession.
