On July 10, An Phu Ward Trade Union (Gia Lai province) held a conference to summarize Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Ward Trade Union established 6 grassroots trade unions (reaching 86% of the target), and admitted 277 more trade union members (reaching 66% of the target). This is a solid core force for emulation movements in units and localities.
The ward trade union has closely guided grassroots trade unions to get opinions from union members and workers to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements with outstanding results.
The unit has successfully signed 9 collective labor agreements with many benefits clauses higher than the provisions of law, bringing practical benefits to workers.
The Trade Union organized visits, gifts and encouragement to 277 union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases with a total amount of 228 million VND from the support source of the Provincial Labor Federation.
The unit also proactively signed a welfare cooperation program for union members and workers with Cao Nguyen Eye Hospital Co., Ltd. on examination, screening and consultation on eye diseases.
In addition, the Trade Union organized a program to propagate and advise on labor law directly for 200 union members and workers.
In the last 6 months of the year, the Ward Trade Union will closely follow core targets; closely coordinate with Party committees and authorities of neighboring communes and wards to quickly stabilize and manage existing grassroots trade unions.
Also at the conference, An Phu Ward Trade Union announced the decision to establish and launch 5 new directly affiliated grassroots trade unions.
The units include: Grassroots Trade Union of Thy Phat HCM Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of An Nong Agritech Joint Stock Company; Grassroots Trade Union of Ser Pok Tay Nguyen One Member Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of Truong Dat Gia Lai Trading and F&B Production Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of Hoi Phu Management Board.
The establishment of new grassroots trade unions not only helps to gather and protect the legitimate rights and interests of a large number of workers but also contributes to improving the leadership capacity of the Party and strengthening the great solidarity bloc of workers - farmers - intellectuals in the locality.
At the conference, the Ward Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 1 individual with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2025;
Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Labor Federation to 1 collective and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of Trade Union activities in 2025; and at the same time commending 4 grassroots trade unions with outstanding achievements in Workers' Month 2026.
