On July 10, Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union organized the launching ceremony of the Grassroots Flower and Ornamental Plant Trade Union and 8 new grassroots trade unions in the area.
Attending the program were Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Hoang Sy Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phu Ward Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen The Than - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; Mr. Ho Sy Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phu Ward.
The ceremony also had the participation of representatives of socio-political organizations and a large number of union members and workers in the ward.
At the program, leaders of Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union awarded the decision to establish the Grassroots Flower and Ornamental Plant Trade Union; announced the decision to recognize 40 workers as trade union members.
The Provisional Executive Committee of the Vinh Phu Ward Flower and Ornamental Plant Trade Union, consisting of 5 members, was also appointed to organize and manage activities in the early stages.
The Ward Trade Union also awarded decisions to establish 8 grassroots trade unions and announced decisions recognizing union members at units.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Hoang Sy Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phu Ward Party Committee proposed that the executive committee of the trade union and grassroots trade unions promote propaganda to help union members firmly grasp the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State and regulations related to labor and trade unions.
Trade union organizations need to continue to pay attention to caring for material and spiritual life; protect legitimate and lawful rights and interests; contributing to ensuring jobs and income for union members and workers.
Leaders of Vinh Phu ward also hope that new union members will actively participate in the labor emulation movement, promote initiatives, and improve productivity and work efficiency.
The launch of the Grassroots Flower and Ornamental Plant Trade Union and 8 grassroots trade unions contributes to gathering workers, expanding the network of union members and building an increasingly strong Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union organization.
