On April 23, Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that currently trade union levels are making efforts to develop union members and grassroots trade unions in the non-state sector.
Currently, the provincial trade union manages 844 grassroots trade unions with 75,293 union members, of which the non-state sector has 729 grassroots trade unions with more than 61,660 union members.
In 2025 alone, the whole province established 46 grassroots trade unions, admitting 6,603 union members; in the first quarter of 2026, 8 more grassroots trade unions with 924 union members will be established.
The whole province currently has 17 commune and ward trade unions established, directly managing 844 grassroots trade unions. According to the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, the commune and ward trade union model will be close to workers, stick to the area, stick to grassroots levels and factories to propagate policies and guidelines, promptly grasp thoughts, and encourage workers.
Trade unions are present right at the grassroots level, promptly grasping thoughts and aspirations, providing legal support and resolving disputes early.
In the coming time, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions at non-state-owned enterprises will continue to be identified as one of the breakthroughs. Thereby, balancing the interests of both business owners and employees, towards sustainable and long-term labor and production relations.
