At the conference, delegates approved the draft report summarizing trade union activities and the labor movement of Hai Phong City in 2024, tasks for 2025; and a report on 3 years of implementing Resolution 02 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and activities of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".
Regarding the tasks for 2025, the Executive Committee discussed solutions to promote the development of union members, the establishment of grassroots unions and trade unions. The Executive Committee also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of digital transformation in the current activities of the city's trade unions; discussed the implementation of new and effective models and methods to care for union members and workers.
Also at the conference, delegates gave their opinions on solutions to implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Session XII, dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Executive Committee on streamlining the current Trade Union organization. According to the plan of Hai Phong City, the city will end the activities of industry trade union organizations, block trade unions, transfer tasks to the Hai Phong City Labor Federation; transfer the organization, staff, and payroll of the district-level Labor Federation to the district and county Party Committees for direct management.
