Many union officials are willing to sacrifice their own interests
Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor - said that, implementing the restructuring of the apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner, the Provincial Federation of Labor has just announced a new organizational apparatus for the Provincial Federation of Labor, industry unions and personnel work.
Accordingly, from February 28, Khanh Hoa dissolved and terminated the activities of the Trade Union of the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector (AARD), the Trade Union of the Education Sector, the Trade Union of the Construction Sector, the Trade Union of the Transport Sector, the Trade Union of the Industry and Trade Sector, and the Trade Union of Civil Servants of Khanh Hoa Province.
The grassroots trade unions (CDCS) of the 6 dissolved industry unions will be transferred to the District, Town, City Labor Federations, and the Provincial Industrial Parks and Economic Zones (IPs-KKT) Trade Unions from March 1. For 8 full-time cadres at the industry unions, they were transferred and appointed to departments and units under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Thus, Khanh Hoa will have 3 local industry unions and equivalent, Khanh Viet Corporation Trade Union, Provincial Industrial Parks and Economic Zones Trade Union and Provincial Health Sector Trade Union.
At the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the model of 4 departments will be reduced to 3 departments, ensuring a reduction of 25% within the Provincial Federation of Labor. Along with the merger and dissolution, Khanh Hoa announced the establishment of a new Party and Government Trade Union, under the Provincial Federation of Labor from February 28. The Party and Government Trade Union will be directly managed by the Standing Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor and have 2 Vice Chairmen.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem, the termination of activities and the arrangement of grassroots union officials subject to initial dissolution still has many concerns. Many full-time union officials of all sectors and provincial labor organizations have sacrificed their personal interests for the common good. Of which, 4 officials at the industry union chairman level and 1 officer at the department head level agreed with the decision to transfer and appoint new positions as deputy directors.
Promoting the capacity of Trade Union officials in the new period
Mr. Nguyen Huy Truong - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union - said that immediately after the Provincial Federation of Labor decided to dissolve the industry union, the Executive Committee of the industry union held a meeting and deployed it to the grassroots. In particular, urgently complete related procedures and organize the handover of grassroots trade unions to the new unit. This is also the first of the 6 dissolved industry unions to organize the handover.
45 grassroots trade unions under the industry union were transferred to 7 district-level trade unions and provincial industrial park-iconesian trade unions with 3,809 union members. We prioritize supporting grassroots trade unions in new units, especially ensuring no interruption in trade union activities. The arrangement of organization and new personnel will contribute to improving the quality of operations from the grassroots level" - Mr. Truong emphasized.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the effectiveness of implementing the project to streamline the union organization apparatus not only reduces units but also promotes the role of each union cadre in the current situation. From their new positions, union officials continue to promote their strengths, strive, demonstrate their pioneering and exemplary role, and successfully complete assigned tasks.
