On the afternoon of January 19, authorized by the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union organized the awarding of 362 support scholarships to union members and workers working at Ham Kiem 2 Industrial Park.
This is the 2nd support phase for workers affected by flooding that occurred in early December 2025.
Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union was allocated a total of 364 support slots by the Provincial Labor Federation, being the unit with the largest number of union members receiving support in this period. The allocation was made based on the level of property damage of each worker's family, in order to ensure the right subjects and the right actual needs.
At the grassroots trade union of Right Rich International Co., Ltd., 301 union members received support. Among them, there are 183 scholarships worth 1 million VND and 118 scholarships worth 500,000 VND.
The grassroots trade union of Thanh Vuong Footwear Materials and Accessories Co., Ltd. has 61 union members supported, including 26 allowances of 1 million VND and 35 allowances of 500,000 VND.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Duy Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ham Kiem commune - said that although the gifts cannot fully compensate for the damage caused by natural disasters, they are timely sharing, showing the responsibility and companionship of the trade union organization with union members and workers.
Thereby, contributing to encouraging the spirit, helping workers soon stabilize their lives and feel secure in working and producing.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, in the 2nd phase of supporting union members and workers affected by natural disasters in 2025, the whole province had 1,397 union members receiving support, with a total cost of 1 billion VND, from the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Previously, the Provincial Labor Federation also completed the handover of 1,000 support packages in phase 1, for union members and workers affected by flooding from October 30 to November 3, 2025. The total support cost through 2 phases reached 1.75 billion VND.
In the context of the approaching Lunar New Year, many workers' families are still busy with worries after natural disasters, and timely support from the trade union organization is of practical significance.
Not only is it a material sharing, it is also an important source of spiritual encouragement, helping union members confidently overcome difficulties and celebrate Tet in less difficult conditions.
