On January 15, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that the unit has allocated funds to support union members and workers affected by storms and floods in the 2nd phase of 2025 from the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
This support phase focuses on union members and workers affected by the flood in early December 2025. The whole province has 1,397 union members belonging to commune and ward trade unions and grassroots trade unions receiving support, with a total cost of 1 billion VND.
In which, there are 603 scholarships supported with 1 million VND and 794 scholarships at a level of 500,000 VND. The support level is based on the extent of property damage of each family, divided according to the threshold above and below 10 million VND.

Before allocating funds, grassroots trade unions, commune and ward trade unions have organized careful review and evaluation to ensure support for the right subjects, public and transparent.
This is an important step to bring support to the right union members who are really facing difficulties after natural disasters.
According to the allocation list, Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union has the largest number of union members supported, with 364 people. This is an area with a large concentration of workers living in flood center areas (as of December 2025) working in Ham Kiem I and II Industrial Parks.
Next is Ham Thang Ward Trade Union with 233 union members and Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union with 175 union members supported.
Ms. Le Huynh Thi Hoa Phuong - Chairwoman of Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union said that immediately after receiving the allocated funds, the ward trade union organized to provide support to union members and workers at affiliated grassroots trade unions.
The handover of support is carried out quickly so that union members can promptly cover living expenses, repair houses, and stabilize their lives.

Previously, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation also completed supporting union members and workers affected by storms and floods in phase 1 (floods from October 30 to November 3, 2025).
Phase 1 has 500 support slots from the funding source of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with a total amount of 500 million VND; 400 slots from the source of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation worth 200 million VND and 100 slots worth 50 million VND from the support of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation. The total amount of support through 2 phases is 1 billion 750 million VND.
This support source not only contributes to overcoming immediate difficulties but also clearly shows the accompanying role of the trade union organization for union members and workers.
In the context of the approaching Lunar New Year, many workers' families are still worried after natural disasters, and the timely support from the trade union organization is of special significance.
Not only is it a material sharing, but it is also a source of spiritual encouragement to help union members feel secure in working, soon stabilize their lives, and celebrate Tet in less difficult conditions.
